3G-enabled TouchPad poses for Mr. Blurrycam at HP event 7

Sure, even though HP hasn't officially announced that the TouchPad would come with a 3G radio, we all knew it is coming - if our massive Topaz leak didn't convince you, the Vietnam spy-shot of the SIM-tray should have.
Well here's one more piece of evidence: the TouchPad that HP is demoing at webOS CONNECT in London is sporting a wireless carrier - Vodafone UK. If you've read our posts in the past hour, you know that PreCentral reader Adam sent in this photo and you also know that, like us, you owe him thanks for the tidbit. We suppose you shouid also give thanks to HP, who kindly decided to use this unannounced version of the TouchPad to show developers what's coming.
Update: reader Bradley writes in that even HP's own developer portal page for the TouchPad lists that there will be "Built-in A-GPS on 3G models." Palm's own spec page says the same as did the original press release. Let's just call the 3G model announced, between us kids.

Just say Sprint is a carrier and I'll stop stalking this website haha
If not then FrankenPre here I come!
im really counting on Sprint and 4G.
But now that Best Buy announced they are going to be selling their own line of WiMax products, i am interested to see if it goes there on a month to month contract for $45 a month. and with the solid relationship BB has with HP this could be big.
the first is great but the second is better.
Sorry for the blurrycam, I was right on the front row, but my pre2 cam doesn't function well in low light, and 2 glasses of red wine hands.
It definately said vodafone though and I later asked him about it and he said that he went to the shop down the street and got a sim.
Did anybody else think it said 3D for a second :}
Just for clarification, although the TouchPad was, indeed, using Vodafone UK he pointed out that this had no connection with any future carrier deals. He had just popped down the road and picked up a sim card that day for the purposes of the UK event.
All in all it was a very informative event, especially the Enyo demonstation and Q&A session. Shame the only freebies were app inspired artwork posters though.
Oops, didn't see that Dimpz had already said about the SIM.
Regardless of where he got the sim, it means there is a GSM version of the device in someones hands which makes me hopeful that they will release a GSM and wifi version at the same time rather than the Wifi only version then followed up a few months later by a 3g version.
It means that they will get the sales of the device all at once, rather than people holding out on the 3g version before buying or maybe going for an ipad 2 or one of the million droid offerings.
While everyone else is worried about 4G and rushing to look modern and forward thinking, HP is cleverly going the low-tech route to capture those who shop for tech at Kohl's. They are going to kick butt over those Android 1.6 devices.
