Ladies and Gentlemen: the Palm Pixi Plus on AT&T is now officially available for $49.99 after contract or $299 off-contract. AT&T wil also ship it free if you order online, natch.
Anybody picking one up? If you're thinking about it, don't forget that AT&T is changing their data rates and for a new smartphone user, their upcoming DataPlus plan is a pretty darn good deal.

YAY! Now that that's out of the way...maybe Palm will anounce the next big device!!! *HOPE*
LOL
If you get the Pixi today you can start the $30 unlimited data plan, and you get to keep it.
Also you can get the AT&T Pre from AmazonWireless for $.01 with a two year contract or $50 if you upgrade from an existing phone.
Yep, If you're going to join AT&T, you should do it soon. If you get the $30 unlimited plan, they can't take it away from you.
I ordered mine the 4th and it will not arrive till tmw. Luckily AmazonWireless has you select a plan to add to your bill. If it turns out that they don't give me unlimited data I will raise some hell until they give it to me because that's why I got the phone when I did.
My sentiments exactly tjsongman. AT&T Pixi out of the way, only thing left is the merger, but we can start atleast with some "legit" leaks in about 2 weeks.
Why is this phone not free with contract? Do they just want unsold inventory, or do they believe this is actually a reasonable price?
It is free with contract online. Select the blue version guys! Blue Pixi is $149.99 with 2 year but has a $149.99 instant online discount. On the website go to the black Pixi for $49.99 then once your in that page you'll see more color options and there is only blue to choose from. Can't go wrong with free for a phone that is on its first day with the carrier!
Wait Dieter, I hope you are joking about the DataPlus being a good deal.
If you use less than 2GB data month (chances are that you do), then yes, it is a good deal.
I hope AT&T puts more effort in selling the Pixies than they did with the Pre's.
My store sells a good amount of Pres. I was lucky enough to win one, and I love it.
The new data plan is great for most users. Some are using more than 2gb, but most won't.
