AT&T Pre Plus Unboxed (Again) 14

Oh, unboxing photos: how you whet our appetite for the devices we covet. We caught a glimpse of the AT&T destined Pre Plus being unboxed from the Boy Genius Report earlier this month, and this time around a slew of unboxing photos can be found by way of Engadget. There's nothing earth shattering here - just some pictures of what appears to be a "practice" Pre Plus and its always attractive packaging - but these photos should stir some more excitement for those of us in the states that have been holding out for the GSM version of the Pre to hit our shores.

cannot waittttt, i dont want to waste my upgrade on it though, somebody help me through this! Is here a way to only get a year upgrade on at&t?
I'm in the same boat as you, but I think I will grab it, it will be a while before the nest palm phone comes out for AT&T (just look how long it took for the pre) and if anything I will be upgrade eligible again next year just in time for the iPhone 5g if something were to happen with palm. Remember upgrades are every 18 months, so if you get this in may, you'll be eligible next year around November. There'll be alot of nice phones available then.

Palm needs all the help they can get right now and I believe that AT&T is just what the doctor ordered. Not only do they have the largest amount of subscribers, but they as a company seem to be much more enthused about this launch than Verizon was. Not to mention they don't seem to have anything huge releasing in the same general timeframe *cough Droid cough* which should help out a lot. :)
Hate to break it to you, but Verizon has about 5 million more subs than AT&T

Why are they waiting? This is very close to the new iPhone launch
Anyone want to speculate how is the new iPhone going to effect the Palm Pre Plus launch??
yeah... Unless they make it a Pre++, I don't think many people will get it solely because of the iphone being on that network.
anybody listen to the palmcast as well as the endgagdte podcast?
engadget gave the palmcast a little shout out in episode 192 they used the palmcast phew phew phew lighting round noises!

I cannot STAND waiting for the ATT release. I at least need a date so I can properly pace myself properly. I hate that it is nearing time for the iPhone release. After giving it some thought though, I think a release on AT&T could be a good thing. Everyone has wanted the Pre to take on the iPhone, but that would have required switching carriers. As badly as I have wanted a Pre, since January 2009, I was not and am not willing to switch to Sprint or VZW. The Pre may have a good response on AT&T, provided they give it decent marketing, which is doubtful.
go with the iPhone, just wait for their OS upgrade!
