Additional Calculator functions 16
For those who remember the stock calculator app in PalmOS, the one included in webOS appears to be severely lacking. At first look, you only have the basic arithmetic commands of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division (along with a standard memory function of M+, MR, and MC). While still not nearly as full featured as the old PalmOS calculator, there are some additional functions available simply by pressing the spacebar. The 4 buttons on the right will turn into M-, %, square root, and +/-.
If you still need more functionality in your calculator, you may need to look in the App catalog for a suitable replacement. Got any suggestions?

Cool!! Didn't know that.
thanks! Did not know that either! Great tip! Everyday learning something new! That's why I love webos! It's so dynamic!
hey that's one I didn't know lol.
Here's my tip: "Scientific RPN Calculator". Nice and powerful, plus it's an RPN calculator :). Available in the app catalog
I had forgotten about this...
I've found SciCalc to meet my needs, especially since it was available for free!
Wholly Cow - I now have access to the % button after 18 months of figuring out decimals.....
haha, I just said the same thing :)
Just yesterday I was trying out other calcs to get %...
I use Advanced Calculator. I teach Physics and this works great for me. I picked it up for free I believe, but now it's $2.49. It works well.
I did not know that. I welcome this functionality that I missed but... why is this so unintuitive? Well over a year ago I had even looked for a manual for the calculator just in case there were more features like this. But alas there was no manual available. And this feature seems to have been completely unpublicized.
Wouldn't Palm want to let us know what functions our phones have? What's next?... finding out that the calendar has some hidden functions that make it almost as powerful as the old PalmOS calendar on my Treo 300? That would be wonderful!
how did you get blue numbers on your readout screen?
When I updated to 1.4.5 my readout changed to black digits on a charcoal background. Very difficult to read.
do you have a theme on your phone? That often changes the calculator colors... Just a thought...
may I suggest: m.wolframalpha.com

When its all in there, why are the Palm guys sleeping over it?
HP, are you listening?
Any suggestions for a finance calculator application and the other free calculators that were part of the PalmOS?
