Adjust Bluetooth connection preferences [webOS 2.2] 4
This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.2 and higher
On webOS 2.1 and earlier, when you added a device to your list of Bluetooth connections (whether it's a TouchPad, Bluetooth headphone or a keyboard), there were no advanced options to set on those devices. Either the device was connected to the phone or it wasn't. With the release of webOS 3.0 on the TouchPad, new options were now available to you via an button on the Bluetooth Preferences app that allowed you determine how the TouchPad and a paired Phone would interact with each other, such as auto connecting to the phone and determine if the TouchPad should receive Phone Calls or SMS from your phone.
These advanced connection options have now made their way to a webOS phone with webOS 2.2 on the Pre3. Just as with the TouchPad, once you pair a Bluetooth device with your Pre3 you can determine how the Pre3 will interact with that device. If the Bluetooth device is an audio headset, it then gives you options to share Phonebook or Message access from your phone to that device. If it is a TouchPad, you can determine if you want to Auto-connect to that TouchPad or mirror phone calls or SMS to it. The "Auto-connect" option is convenient because you never have to worry if the Bluetooth connection between the Pre3 and TouchPad dropped when they moved out of range from one another. As long as they are back in close proximity with each other, whenever a text message or phone call comes in, the Pre3 will always attempt to reconnect with TouchPad.
