Ever since I first saw the default LED flashlight app on a friend's HTC Evo, I wanted something similar for my Palm Pre. Finally, such an app exists! With Android Flashlight, you can turn on the built-in LED on the Palm Pre by tapping the screen! This app works just like the android version, tap the screen to make it shine. Tapping it more will make it brighter and also turn it off. The first tap gives 50 mA's to the LED. The second gives 100, and the third gives 200 mA's to the LED. This application cannot make the LED any brighter than Jason's LED Torch can.
Note: This app requires the SysToolsMgr Service to funtion properly.

how do you download it??????
Over Preware :)
I'm running FrankenPre2 on Sprint w/ webOS 2.2.4 and this isn't activating the camera LED. I'll try a reboot, maybe that's the trick. I also don't see systools in Preware, maybe that's the problem. Anyone else have this working with a similar phone?? Thx.
You definitely need systoolsmgr service for this app to work. It should be available for download in preware.

This version is compatible with a Palm Pixi Plus (HP webOS 1.4.5) ?
No, I don't believe this this will work on a pixi+, as the current version of SysToolsMgr service doesn't support pixi (or +) LED flash. Sorry.
does this work on pre 3
I don't know for sure, as I don't have a pre 3, so it may work, and it may not. If not I'll see if I can develop a pre3-friendly version :)
