The school year is coming to a close, and that means something is coming up faster than you realize: exams. Exams mean studying, and being the hot to trot technologically adept student of life that you are, you want to study on the go, and you want to use your webOS smartphone. Good thing we’ve got apps to do that. Specifically, we’ve got James Harris’ FlashCards.

One of the early apps in the App Catalog, FlashCards has received a series of updates that have resulted in a feature-rich app that’s here to help you will all of your studying needs. It even integrates with online study sites like Quizlet, FlashcardExchange, StudyStack, and ProProfs to pull ready-made study materials for your crunch time needs.

FlashCards is available from the App Catalog for $4.99, but we have one hundred copies of it to give away to you, the awesome webOS user that you are. What do you have to do to enter? Just leave a comment on this post.

I've often seen this app on the App Catalog, but I'm too far past the 'learning stage' to have a lot of use for this. But, I have a son with a Pre and my granddaughter is always playing games on his phone. She could very likely benefit from having this app. My daugher-in-law is a teacher who might also find use for the app.

I'm not usually very lucky on offers like this, but my son seems to win most things [often not so useful as this] when he enters. But, he's not the type to follow sites like PreCentral. So, here's looking for a change in my luck...

I already have TripThat which has been wonderful for my travels, so I would guess that Jame's FlashCards app would be something special too.

It's not U.S. only, but is limited to countries served by the App Catalog. I will generate specific promo codes for those in other countries as needed -- I am not U.S. only.

I am however limited to which countries I can support. This is a limitation on the system and not by my choosing.

As a pilot currently studying to add an Instrument Flight Rating to my pilot certificate, I would love to have a copy of this app. A flashcard app has been one of my most-used apps, and I've been a Palm user for a long, long time...

I used the lite version a couple times for some of the little ones in my life trying to learn numbers and letters, I have considered the full version but never got around to buying it... Free would be great!!!

I am sitting my ITIL Managing Across the Lifecycle exam for the 3rd time in June and need to find a way to revise at every opportunity. A free version of Flash Cards may help me finally pass this exam as I could revise at every opportunity on my Pre Plus.

Not to mention I am broke this month so could use a freebie!

How but us unfortunate ones stuck on WebOS 1.4.5 because Sprint can't get their act together and get hardware that will upgrade to the latest WebOS. I sure hope they and HP get things together sooner than later and make the Pre3 available as the Veer isn't coming to Sprint from what I have read so far.
