App Spotlight: Connector for Salesforce.com [video] 6

Connector for Salesforce.com There’s one clear leader in the customer relationship management business, and it’s Salesforce.com. The software service company not only helps you manage your customers, but also helps you find and groom new customers. Software-as-a-service developer CustomWare decided to try their hand at webOS development, and the app Connector for Salesforce.com was the end result.

Connector for Salesforce.com allows users to log into their Salesforce.com account where they can check out their opportunities, sources, leads, contacts, customers, and accounts and get detailed information about each.

Connector for Salesforce.com is available in the App Catalog right now, and for free if you're so inclined. Check it out in glorious video form just after the break.

EDIT: For whatever reason CustomWare set the original video to private, and reposted it. Video link fixed, still after ye olde break.

private video?

Yeah wtf. Ok Customware, you win. I won't watch the video. Great Job.

ya? i cant watch it either

What is NOT so cool about salesforce.com is that in order to use a smartphone app, you have to run one of their best plans, the cost is around $100 a month. I so wish there was a competitor to salesforce, they need competition.

And I could not view the video either.

I am testing this out right now. I have used it to look up some contact and opportunity info. Pretty cool for a quick lookup. I'm glad someone stepped up to write this for WebOS as many sales folks use Salesforce on their BBs, WinMos, or iPhones.

Biggest issue I have seen so far is that the Leads by Source graph will not render for me. It may be my account though because I have semi-superuser rights to see pretty much everyone's accounts, leads, etc.

I will also say that clicking the top "Salesforce.com Connector" header is non-intuitive to bring up the menu.

The two of those combined to have me spend 10 minutes or so to realize that the graph would not render but that I could get passed it without having to wait.

I work on projects and use cases to track bugs in the implementation process and would love to be able to view these cases quickly. Will keep this on the pre and hope this is added as the SF site does not render well in the browser.

Nice start and I will keep my eye on this.
