Best Buy screens push Touchstone date back to June 7

Not so long ago (two days ago, in fact) we got a glimpse into the Best Buy inventory system where somebody managed to find the Palm Pre Touchstone Kit, with an in-stock date of May 10, 2009. As Engadget has reported, that date has now been changed (all other information is the same) to June 7, 2009. Boy, that date sounds familiar.

Why *should* they be the same? The out-of-stock date is two years down the road - I imagine it was thrown in simply because the computer demanded an entry. Palm doesn't know when they're going to replace the Touchstone dock.

OK IM NEW HERE AND IDK WHO TO CONTACT BUT ANYWAY...I CALL SPRINT EVERY WEEK TO ASK ABOUT THE PRE AND I USUALLY GET NOWHERE. I CALLED TODAY AND THE GUY I SPOKE TO WHO WAS REAL NICE TOLD ME THIS: THE PRE WILL BE REALEASED SOMETIME IN AUGUST!!! WTF! I NEEED IT NOW.. I WASS PO'D AT THIS POINT I TOLD HIM WHY IS IT TAKING SO LONG HE TOLD ME HE GETS THAT ALOT AND HE SAID THE REASON IS THAT THEY ARE WORKING TO MAKE THE PRE THE FIRST 4G HANDSET!! AND THAT THEY HAVE TO BUILD UP THE NETWORK!! THIS LEFT ME IN AWE..I MEAN IT SOUNDS GREAT 4G BUT IDK IF TOO BELIEVE HIM..BESIDES THAT IS TOO LONG A WAIT ANYONE ELSE HEAR ANYTHING LIKE THIS?
