Description

Application to create calendar events for your contacts birthdays. Reminder is adjustable. At the moment it creates all-day events, and the reminders will be set in a way that it pop ups on midday, not on midnight.

The app will work on webOS 2.x and 3.x too, but you will need the latest iCalImporter app from the AppCatalog (1.29$) to have the events created.

On webOS 1.x it works standalone.

  • Fixes and enhancements for webOS 2.x or better
  • Fix for reminder and repeat settings. If you want to update your existing events, you need to remove them with the 2.0.0 version before creating new events. The internal event id was changed due to this fix.
  • iCalendar file which is send to iCalImporter is displayed after creation and you can copy or save it for later use. Save will need FileMgr-Service from JayCanuck.

Creating birthdays within my contacts for my calendar sounds like a dream come true ! Thank you very much for this great idea!
Does your application work for Webos 2.1 too? I installed it via Preware and re-booted my Pre. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work on my Pre Plus. When tapping on the icon, I get the error message "Error-Failed to create account: (...)not permitted to send to com.palm.accounts.")
I was so looking forward to using this app...
Could you possibly fix it for Webos 2.1? That would be lovely!
