Looks like some great apps. Only problem is my TouchPad is being serviced. Ubuntu install gone bad. Any way to buy apps without TouchPad? Can I sign onto emulator with palm profile to buy apps?
Nope.
Darn, thanks for the reply. I'll be happy to able to buy them at full price in the coming months.
there's got to be a way, i have the feeling that nobody has tried hard enough to get this to work..
It might be hard to figure out w/o a touchpad in hand tho.. ;^)
Looks Like Smart office is $4.99 today
Big fat hairy deal!
Smart Office is still coming up at $9.99. Any idea if there is an error?
Yeah. I noticed that too.
Docs To Go, full with edit was the free Android app of the day at Amazon this week. That was the right price for me after Dataviz and HP jerked us around for so long.
as of 8 a.m. (pacific standard) saturday morning too ... wazzup w/ dat ?
Hang tight, there's a slight delay with Smart Office that we're working on.
Crud, I guess I should have checked here first. I purchased and got charged the $9.99 price. Oh well.
The Berenstain Bears book is coming up as $5.99 not $.99
Rudolph is showing $2.99, not the $0.99 sale price.
11/29 update - Rudolph shows as $4.99 today so maybe the $2.99 was the sale price, not the advertised $0.99. Poor HP has such a tough time with the most basic things.
I purchased Smart office and it said $9.99. Will that show on my credit card statement as $4.99.
no
Yup- I was all about smart office, and it has yet to change over.
I came here to see if others had the same full prices still listed. I'm not going to buy until I am certain the sale price is in effect.
Berenstain bears, Rudolph and smart office are not showing as reduced.
I'd like to get Berenstain Bears and Rudolph for my kids, but the price still isn't reduced as of 4:40pm pacific. Those Oceanhouse Media books look pretty neat (certainly nicer than plain kindle books), and may even be worth the full price but I'd like to try couple for $1 first.
In the meantime I got Quell and Quell Reflect for my touchpad and Pre3. I must say it's really nice when apps & games work on both devices with a single purchase.
Big Boss, Quell HD and WordBook come up at the right discount price.
I would like to purchase Rudolph $.99 but as mentioned already it is coming up at $2.99 still...
Do the sales apply to us Canucks... None of the ones I have my eye on have a sale price as of 19h00.
Great, now let us know if webOS has a future. (or what's the point of investing further?) Though I did get Rudolph to show my neice and nephew.
nothing here for me. Thought it was going to be a bug deal. Oh well
I was really hoping to see the Kalemsoft player, as it's a little pricey. I got the dictionary/thesaurus and it's pretty nice - it works without an internet connection.
I would have liked to see Kalemsoft player or something else that I would use. I'm not a big gamer and prefer apps that really increase the functionality of my TouchPad.
Even though I already have it, something like Glimpse would have a good fit.
I purchased SmartOffice today thru the HP App Catalog and it billed me $9.99 plus NOT the $4.99 as shown. How do I gat a $5 credit?
I downloaded smart office app and it charged me full price. I called up HP support and they took my info and kicked it on to the central office or something. It seems many people are being charged full price for the discounted apps. HP said they'd be in touch sometime next week when everyone gets back to work. I expect everyone will be given the lower prices when this all gets resolved but it seems like poor planning/execution to me.
HP really struggles with execution. Hopefully we will still have the chance to execute HP.
They need to hire a consulting service. Someone that know hardware, internet and commerce software. Dont need to pay them a lot, just enough to teach HP the very basics.
Sc rew promocodes, THIS is how you do sales! Worldwide access. Thank you HP :)
So, while you're waiting for them to discount the $5 software, why not log into HP.com/enterprisesolutions and check out their business/internet applications. Surely they have some $50,000 software apps/services that they tell you will only cost you $19,900 for a limited time only.
HP Inept
still no discounts, not sure why this was posted.
Just spent nearly an hour chatting online with HP support about $9.99 Smart Office. All that work resulted in a promise to "escalate" the issue. Oh well. I thought my time was worth more than $5 an hour. Goes to show me!
smart office is still 9.99. Yet another HP **** up.
No discounts here in UK :-(
I already own almost all of these apps :-(
Still have a balance remaining on my $50 app credit from HP. Used it on the Thesaurus and Splashtop for now. When Smart Office drops, I'll get that too. At my folks place for the holidays. Nice knowing about Splashtop through this BF sale; would've been handy to have had earlier. There's a letter on my computer at home that I forgot to email to a volunteer list. Would've loved to have accessed my iMac at home from this TouchPad and gotten it out when I remembered. Aw, well, least I have it now.
On Splashtop Remote, it makes my keyboard on my PC all messed up, even after I close the Splashtop session. The only way that I can figure out how to get my keyboard back is to restart my PC. What am I doing wrong?
Silly me, at first glance i thought those were all regular prices..
I guess i forget how much some apps cost sometimes!
Still no Smart Office discount.
Rudolph still shows @ $2.99
I hope HP straightens this out. I hope HP sells webOS to someone who will treat it right.
NO SMART OFFICE DISCOUNT EVEN ON CYBER MONDAY WTF!?!?!?!?
Who do we call about this? No, not Ghostbusters. Who at HP do we need to light a fire under?
I think smart office being 4.99 was a sham to get people to pay 9.99. I emailed Picsel on Friday and they still have not responded.
Smart Office is $4.99 finally!! Says "Black Friday Weekend Promotion, 50% discount" in the description.
Now if they would also fix Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer which the article said was on sale for $0.99 but was listed for $2.99. Checking today I see it's listed for $4.99... So it really was on sale but the question is was it on sale for the wrong price, or was the article listing of $0.99 wrong? Bottom line I would of bought it for the on-sale price but thought the $2.99 was the full price. In the future I would suggest that the full AND sale price be listed so that developers don't get burned on lost sales because of either article errors or perception by the community that the HP App store has the wrong price listed.
