Contest: How fast can you type on your Pre or Pixi? 26
So you think you can type? We've joined up with Sierra Blanco and webosroundup to sponsor a speed typing contest to find out who has the fastest thumbs in webOS land. To enter, simply download Two Thumbs Up Typing Test from the App Catalog, get yourself a speed that's, well, fast enough to make the leaderboard, then follow the app's prompts (including a brief survey).
On September 6th, there will be a random drawing for prizes from all entrants, then later on we'll have a live type-off for the fastest typers for the big prizes:

I agree. I notice my typing is slower after I trim my nails.

This contest sounds pretty cool and i'm will to try it out but there is one problem...The pixi and the pre sound be in different contest. The pixi has a much better keyboard then the pre so the pixi users have a big advantage. So I would not be surprised if pixi users place 1,2, and 3 in the contest

I'm a super-fast typer on a PC; however I'm only average (maybe below average?) on the Pre. On my first try I scored a 29 which is probably pretty low.
Please participate in the test/survey even if not a fast typist. There is a random drawing from all who enter.
Only available in USA, because its hard to award prizes outside of USA. However, we will update app ASAP to it available outside USA with that understanding. It would be good to open survey to outside USA.

Could the ability to restart the test also come in the next update. Because if I want to take the test again I have to close the app, then re-open it... or is this like a one time test deal? Oh yeah one last thing, :) Why isn't this compatible with my touchscreen keyboard from preware!!!

Awesome, a typing program that's limited by country.
My keys don't work right. L's will show up multiple times with one press, and C's will only show up with a HARD press. Other letters are finicky as well :(
If I didn't have to look up at the screen after every letter I pressed, I'm sure typing would be faster/ easier.
Yeah, my keyboard doesn't work right either. For example, if I type too fast, my spacebar and "h" won't register. It wouldn't be a fair contest...
last time I did one of these typing contests I think I got 55 words a minute on my centro, which I was slower than on my treo which I could fly. Pre I don't think I could hit that, pixi god my sister would win, when she texts someone a whole paragraph you can only hear one slightly elongated click.
I really think pixi's are going to do some showin off here. By the way, I still hunt n' peck on a pc keyboard lol 25 wpm lol
the real contest should be to find a pre or pixi that can keep up with your fast typing. Unless you overclock the phones can barely keep up with typing.....
Too bad the Pre has such a sorry excuse for a hardware keyboard with its tiny ass keys and dropped letters for Verizon users.
My keyboard drops H's. Impossible to judge this contest fairly with the hardware problems in the Pre. Cute idea though.
You're lucky yours only drops H's. Mine drops R's and L's.
I love my Pre, don't get me wrong, but if there's anything I dread having to do with it, it's using the keyboard. In fact it's the *only* thing I dread doing with my Pre.
And the virtual keyboard errors out every time I try to install it, so that's no option either.

yay im already up there! took it last week... 44 wpm, not bad but am i the only one who thinks the app kind of lags a bit. mine froze half way through it. and those top 5 are probably fake.
