Create Rules in incredible!
increadible! by Zhephree is a, well, incredible app that allows you to combine multiple social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Flickr into a single unified timeline. The app also allows you to create "rules" on how specific posts show up in your timeline (or hidden from it altogether). These rules can be based on the Author of the post, the social network service, a specific account within that social network if you have multiple, or based on the content of the post itself, and then you determine the outline color of that post or if you want to hide it from your timeline.
There are two ways to create a rule within incredible! You can start from scratch by swiping down from the top-left corner and select "Manage Rules" to see your existing rules or "Add New Rule". When adding a new rule, you go through the steps of choosing the criteria type (author, service, account, content), what comparison type the the rule will use (is, is not, contains, or doesn't contain, as well as a "RegEx" option if you are familiar with that), and then you choose the value to search for. The final step is to determine how any matching post will be displayed. The standard way options are to "Set Color" of the outline or to "Hide" those posts altogether (there is a third option to "Run Script" but that is a bit more complicated and will not be covered here). All you then need to do is name your rule and save it. The next time you refresh your timeline, any new rules will go into effect.
You can also create a pre-defined based on an existing post in your timeline. Just press-and-hold on a post and you will get a "Create Rule from This…" pop-up. Tap it and then when you select Author, Service or Account, that respective info will be pre-populated in the criteria section of the rule. If the post has a #Hashtag and you select the "Content" option, that hashtag will be prepopulated. Otherwise, the process is the same as above.
incredible! is available in the webOS App Catalog for $3.99 and is compatible with all webOS devices running webOS 3.0.2 or higher
