Delete a calendar event 9

by Adam Marks Fri, 10 Sep 2010 6:13 pm EDT

Do you use your webOS phone to manage your calendar, but can't seem to figure out how to delete an event you already created. Maybe you tried to swipe to delete the event, but that doesn't work in the calendar. Instead, you can follow one of these two options:

  1. From the daily view of the calendar, press and hold the Option (Orange/Silver) key and tap on Confirm Calendar Delete a calendar entry, and then press "Delete" in the pop-up to confirm
  2. Tap on the calendar entry to open it up, swipe down from the top left corner of the screen to get the Calendar Application drop-down menu, choose "Delete Event," and then press "Delete" to confirm

Thanks to MotorDr for suggesting this tip

awesome thanks!
I didn't know about the orange+tap method...much easier for me.

Or one could install ubercalendar and have swipe to delete for timed events.

Orange+tap method: fantastic! THANKS!

Don't know what is meant by the swipe method with UC--I have it, and I can't seem to swipe an event. Not sure what you mean by "timed events," either. Please explain--thanks!

Make sure you have the latest version of UC. There are two types of events, all day events or at a particular time, lets say btwn 9 ant 10. The particular events are called timed events. If you have UC patch installed, then one can hold a timed event for a certain length of time, that selects the event, if you swipe then one can delete the event. In case if you did not hold it long enough to select it, then swiping will just take you to the next page. Hope that helped.

You first need to drag the event vertically, like moving it in the calendar. Then you can drag it to the right edge and then it asks if you want to remove the event.

discovered the latter on my own. did not know about the former. thx

UberCalendar refuses to install for me. Is there some conflicting patch they don't divulge??

Does not install . any appl that you have to delete first ?

Thanks a ton...works great, especially the sym + "tap event"
