Developer Device Program back for a limited time with limited stock 31
Developers, if you’ve still not managed to snag enough webOS tablets to complete your HP TouchPad fort, the Developer Relations team is giving you one last chance. The Developer Device Program is back, for a limited time with limited stock, and is offering fire sale pricing on some of the last remaining 32GB TouchPads.
If you’re wanting a developer TouchPad, you’ll have to send a request in to HP (instructions at the source link) by November 18th to get approved. You’ll be able to request up to two coupons for a TouchPad, and you’re only authorized one TouchPad per coupon. So, two TouchPads. Here’s hoping your fort is just in need of some finishing touches. Once you’ve got your coupon, you’ll have until November 27th to exercise that purchasing privilege, and that’s assuming that stock lasts that long (we’re counting on minutes).
Pricing will clock in at $149.99 in the US, €150 in mainland Europe, and £130 in the UK. Still want one (or two)? Hit the source link below to request your coupons.

Pick me
HP employees specifically excluded.
And how will the coupons be redeemed?
Are there any developers left?
Yes
I have a developer account, but haven't yet submitted any apps...
I sent them an email, and decided to work on something next week ;)
Hope I'll get one, and I really want to work on apps anyway, so this is a good push!
Can someone please order one for me? I have failed and failed and failed to get a touchpad. Thanks for your consideration.
I have register as soon I saw that article.I have 2 TP already… if you want to negotiate a commission fee, let me know :)
I'd pay a small commission fee to get one through you. PM me via the forums if you're serious and can actually get one.
do it to it!
I really wonder why they bother to accept requests until the 18th.
They'll probably have exhausted all supplies by tomorrow.
Shrug - why do I still try to apply logic to the decision making of a company that tried to get rid of a profitable core part of their business, then botches the announcement, then does a 180 on most parts of their ill-fated decisions and then thinks W8 is a safer/better bet than continuing with webos.
I suspect, there will be only a few devices. And they will be very selective about who gets these devices.
That is, I think that only very strong developers with existing apps in the App Catalog will get one. Anybody who signs up as a developer today, and requests a device tomorrow, will go to the back of the line. (That's how I'd run it.)
Any UK devs interested in a bit of free commission be sure to PM me! Just bloody want one! :-(
Maybe they can take one of those to send to me to replace the one UPS lost in transit to HP's repair center :(
I would love to get one (been trying since the firesale). If there are any developers out there, who would like to sell one...please let me know!
Ive been a developer for a while now. Ordered two coupons, still waiting for an answer. Would be nice to have a touchpad as i am yet to touch the tablet market
Ordered two as well since i'm registered as a dev. I've got a few other dev accounts with them from the Pre days and ordered two each for those accounts as well. I just plan on reselling them though.
Care to sell them to me? Love to grab one what are you willing to sell it for? E-mail heymanator@gmail.com.
Thanks,
Eric
If anyone has an extra coupon would gladly pay a fee for purchasing a touchpad. My name is my addy ty
Was going to get a couple then saw this: "Coupon codes are not valid anywhere but the HP online store, and may not be used for any products intended for resale or OEM activity as defined by HP." I already have one so if I got more it would be just to resell them. What do you think? Does that mean we can't resell the ones we buy?
You can "gift" them, and accept donations ;) I would be happy to "donate" for your time and trouble!
If you're not using it for development don't be a jerk and order one. It would be a shame if real developers were unable to get devices to test with because someone wanted a cheap touchpad. Without devices to test apps on its difficult for developers to publish apps. Anyone that cares about the potential long term viability of WebOS as a platform shouldn't buy one just for a deal otherwise you're helping to kill the platform.
No gifts, no selling. Developers only please. My $0.02
I'm concerned that this will be like the Firesale weekend, or worse, like the TigerDirect 10 minute sale. If they release the coupon during a weekday, and I get a coupon, I'll be at work and won't be able to react quickly... and the Developer Touchpads will disappear. I'm sure there are lots of other developers with a day job who will be in the same boat.
Any suggestions, HP ?
Seriously dude. This whole concept is retarded. Any developers that wanted to develop Touchpad apps should have gotten one by now. They're extremely easy to get.
These will be redeemed for resale by most or turned into a cheap gift.
I would love the opportunity to own one. If anyone ends up with an extra, please contact me at eshelmand001@gmail.com
Let me know if there is anything from Hawaii that you would like in return!

**** why did I wait so long? They are no longer taking requests for the coupons from developers. That's what I get for forgetting my ID and not going to the right email account to get it in time.
Waiting for a response from the team, I really hope I get a coupon since I can't afford to pay twice as much for one on ebay. Sucks to be a broke student.
The HP Developer website claims they are "Sold Out."
...never even got a coupon to redeem from 3 days ago.
Patience.

"If you have already submitted a request for a coupon, we are currently processing requests.
If you qualify for a coupon, you will receive an email in the next few weeks."
Got my coupon codes yesterday for myself and a coworker, have the shipping confirmation and tracking info for the first unit. They really are shipping out.
Still waiting to see if the second one ships...
And yes, we are both devs who don't want to potentially get into the bork/webOSDoctor cycle on our personal devices while trying to port some gnarly C/C++ code to run on the platform...
Note that I've had a Palm dev account for a couple years now (don't know if that has any bearing) and applied for my coupons the day they were announced...
I also applied for the coupons the day they were announced.
Anyone else get their coupons, and more importantly, has anyone received both Touchpads?
