Great looking app, but there is clearcheckbook.com which can be set up online, and is free. I paid for this app already so I won't delete it, but if there are no improvements made like being able to sync up to real bank accounts in real time, because updating everything by hand isn't very efficient, specially if I paid for this. Also mint.com does this and clearcheckbook.com will likely be doing this in the future. If there is no feedback from the developer or this or upcoming updates, I will likely delete this app and go with something else.
Another wonderful tidbit, this app does not distinguish between a checking accoutn and a credit card. If you add something to the credit card (i.e. you spend money with it) it doesn't look at it as an expense but income, and it doens't look at it as a debt when it adds all your accounts together. Epic Fail, can't believe I paid for it. :(....., kind of a knee jerk reaction. Not happy now.
I politely beg to differ with the two previous reviewers. Their needs and wishes for a 'checkbook' and financial app differ from mine, likely making Dough not the best for them. But simply for the purpose of keeping a checkbook and savings account 'register' (a virtual one!), AND for automatically entering recurring bills and my paycheck, this software does wonderfully. I was looking for something to replace the Checkbook for Palm OS that I had been running on my previous device (a Treo 680), and this fits the 'bill.' (OK. Bad pun!) For MY purposes, it has more than I even want to use.
