Earthworm Jim makes a cosmic landing on webOS 27
If you boot up the App Catalog on your Pre you’ll find one of the most classic video games of all time: Earthworm Jim. First released on the Sega Genesis in 1994, Earthworm Jim has hit consoles across time and space and has now landed on webOS. Whip out your eggbeater and take on the evil Psy-Cow and Queen Slug-for-a-Butt to rescue the dear Princess What’s-Her-Name.
With twelve different enemy types and nine bosses, Gameloft’s latest PDK release comes with four different gameplay styles: side scrolling run and gun, space racing, bungee jumping, and underwater. Step in or a blast from the past with Earthworm Jim, available now in the App Catalog for $4.99.
Thanks to Alijah for the tip!

Thank God for Gameloft. Without them there would be very few good apps that interest me. And i'm not even big on games.
wow, people are so mature... you're almost as bad as honda cop
really? I wrote about the game I bought and unfortunately read some of "hondacops" posts and mine was nothing in comparison. Just thought I'd throw in the 1st post bit if it bothers you so much I'll edit my comment
Louis, please tell me that you meant for that to be a comment below this one? How is liking a video game (which was good in the 90s and holds up well now on the Handheld Mobile)anywhere worth that sort of spite. I can understand everyones net-hatred for the immature "first" BS with which HondaCop has become synonymous, but come on really your comment was stuck-up and uncalled for if meant for the comment to which you replied.
Else You are, again, proving why I prefer not to be around precentral's readers.
'nuff said
so close to first! DAH! Hahaha! I forgot my password and I was gonna be first 2! Haha
I find the controls pretty much unusable myself. For a game like this, you need fast and precise control, and this just doesn't have that.
yeah some parts or most after the first stage we could use the actual control rather the touch controls but o well some day I am hoping for a bluetooth controller add on. That would be sweet, just attach it to the Pr? and sync it and bing. Sure beats touch anyday.
great game :-) got it this morning and never imagined I would be playing it on a phone!
some people might find the controls hard to use but you'll get used to it.
1) I
Wow, Earthworm Jim! And this screen shot looks great too.
Psy-CRow. Close.
I LOVED this game on the SNES. I think this will be the first game I pay for (I already have Doom and Quake) on my phone. Gameloft freaking rocks.
I like Earthworm Jim dont get me wrong but I think some Samus actions would be better by miles! Metroid!!
really excited for this game.
Interesting sidebar, I learned how to change a tire on my car from the instruction booklet that came w/ EWJ. Sitting amongst the character descriptions and controls was a box that told you how to change a tire, reminding you to loosen the bolts before jacking up (literally) the car. Non Sequiturs have always been my favorite breed of humor, it suppose.
Now, who wants a cookie?
Da'yumn!
Interesting game and amazed this one slide by without my notice. Caught glimpse of the classic on Youtube and the update looks much better and simply more visually appealing.
Wow, Gameloft is busy and keep up the GREAT WORK!!! Sorli...
Total classic!!!
now if we can only get the EWJ cartoon back...
Excellent =) We want more more more....
Can't wait to get this when the catalogue opens up outside US.
I'm wondering if we will see any of the Leisure Suit Larry series....or even an Amiga emulator....
big fan of ewj...lookin forward to pickin this up! Thanks for the highlight!
As soon as paid apps are available in Canada, this will be among the first apps I look at buying.
Yes! N.O.V.A they need to bring it to the Pre!
it let me create my gamelofy live acct. I hope NOVA is coming soon also
Does anybody know if there is a Toe Jam & Earl out there for mobile devices that might show up on the Pre? I think it came out around the same time as EWJ.
DAMN YOU CANADIAN CITIZENSHIP! I WANT TO GIVE MY MONEY AWAY BUT YOU WON'T LET ME! Whyyyyyyyyyy?
At least you'll be able to afford the next gen Pre when it comes out. Us Yanks will all be broke!
Not really, most of us are in this for 3 years. When I ordered my Pre, 3 years was the only option. Unless we want to go paying $500 or so every year to keep up, we're pretty much screwed.
In B.C. and Alberta, we have decent coverage in the most populated areas with good network speeds and technologies. Aside from that, there are NO UPSIDES TO BEING A CANADIAN MOBILE CUSTOMER. I don't think I can stress enough how much the Canadian mobile industry sucks.
This is coming from someone who sells both Prepaid and Postpaid phones for: Bell, Rogers, Telus, Solo, Fido, Koodo, and Virgin mobile in Canada.
I remember playing Earthworm Jim on the SNES in the mid 90s, this should be a fun game to play.
