Euro 2012 puts all the latest UEFA scores on your TouchPad + giveaway! 17

Are you ready for some fútbol? Oh, you are? Good. Turns out that over in Europe there's definitely some football soccer going on between the nations of the old world, with the Union of European Football Associations 2012 tournament duking it out in Poland and the Ukraine. Sixteen teams from across Europe are meeting this in a month-long tournament that will conclude on the first of July.
webOS developer Thomas Haustein put together a slick UEFA 2012 app for the TouchPad named Euro 2012 that will give you all the latest scores from the tournament broken down by group, along with a calendar and the eventual finals brackets. Euro 2012 is in the App Catalog for $1.99, but the developer decided he wanted to celebrate the soccer season by giving away 300 copies! Each code is of limited quantity, so once they're gone, they're gone!

Bravo ! :-)
No way....I just bought that yesterday!
Excellent App! Just that the Asian webOS fans are left out again... :(
Yell at HP, tell them to go global with the App Catalog.
That grass, that soccer ball background, that app, that Panda Touchpad... Bravo Derek!
What the heck..USA codes finished already??? I thought Americans didn't appreciate football (soccer)!!!
funny when people just say that. Did you know the country that bought the most tickets to the world cup 2012 in south africa that wasn't the host south africa was the USA. Another interesting thing, Mexico-Brazil game in Dallas last week averages 3.3M audience in US on Univision. higher than Stanley Cup finals to that point with 2.9M.
There are people that like it and even follow. It's just not close to the following of big sports like the NFL and NBA. Like those have followers well outside of the team's markets and they are hugely popular on tv. Domestic soccer, MLS, doesn't do that great on tv and isn't that popular once you get outside of the market the team plays in. But take Seatle Sounders, they average almost 35K fans, that's more then many baseball teams. It's just doesn't have the reach in all the other areas like tv, and that means no tv money from giant deals, it doesn't have the merchandising from jersey sales, And you can go on and on.
There are people watching, it's growning just no near where the core U.S. sports are.
usa promo all gone! :-(
U.K code doesn't work.
great app, but is does still fall short of being fully working. The thread on the forum has highlighted a couple of issues already. If these issues get sorted (soon) it will be a wonderful tournament to follow.
Just a shame I bought this when he first announced it :-(
Nice. Even without a Dutch promo code :-(. Also up-to-date. Sweden's loss against Ukrain was shown within seconds.
Why are only three of the four teams shown in the round 1 group rankings. Bug?
- Jan.
The bug has now been fixed. Just restart the app (or if this doesn't do it, restart the TouchPad).
Nice and simple app. with a exhibition mode cycling through all groups would ideal...
Thanks from Canada! Hope to use it for tomorrow's games. Looks really nice so far.
Ohh give us some phone love. When at home with touchpad around, we have a TV to watch it live, but if you are on to go with phone only, there is where i need this app. Ah well get 'EM wiki' in AppCat/Preware for end result checking on phones.
Any chance that the unused ones can be shared out with the countries who have used all of theirs ?
Having one single currency is one of the basic stepping stones on the EU. One single market, one single currency.
California's been a pain in America's *** because of its public debt and deficit and no one is thinking about killing the dollar or expelling California out of the USA.
Also, the fact that some countries have problems is not because of the Euro but because of the politicians that ruled these countries.
After this crisis what's going to happen in Europe is that European leaders will be stronger than national leaders. Either that or coming back to 1930s, which is not really a positive thing. Thanks.
