European Palm Pixi Plus gets FCC certified 12

Engadget has spotted the European variant of the Pixi Plus in the depths of the FCC's website sporting the model number P121UEU, allowing users to safely use the handset in the US without the FCC sending a massive squad of goons in to take you down. That, or the AT&T version (the P121UNA) was just feeling lonely.

The palm pre is great - endless fun. On a separate note on the subject that you raised has the CEO of Adobe Flash hinted at a tablet running webOS could this be the C4(?) being hyped about?

Yeah I agree. I guess we will know soon enough, though a tablet running webOS would be a likely step up from mobile phones for Palm, following in the footsteps of old Apple. I personally think a webOS tablet would be fantastic...

Hope the C40 is not a tablet. Palm seriously needs some hi-end phone with 1+ GHz CPU, 3,5+ inch WVGA display, lots of storage and iPhone-like build quality. 4G support would be nice from a marketing point of view but IMHO not really useful for the most of the customers (especially in Europe). And without the stupid exclusivity deals!

And also, they should fix the webOS and finally add things like Mojo messsaging service for push notifications and enable the Luna GPU acceleration. Battery life could be better too. The HTML5 video support in 1.4.0+ is nice though!

A tablet is great for entertainment (see the iPad games on Youtube) but it can't fix Palm's crappy phone sales. Hope the marketing department will do better in the future (think no more creepy or mama ads).

Yeah as much as I love the palm pre, palm need a major hardware upgrade. They should be aiming to hit the bar set by the HTC Evo and the rumours we keep hearing about the next..next...next generation Iphone.
