Facebook Beta 1.2.5 improves photo viewing, adds tagging support 18

The Facebook for Palm beta just keeps getting better. With version 1.2.5 now available for download, webOS users can better get to photos from their notifications (previously it was hit or miss, with a bias towards miss). You can also now tag photos from within the app, like them, and as before, leave scathing comments and hearts made out of numerals and mathematical symbols.
Facebook Beta 1.2.5 is available for download from the Palm beta feeds. Right now.

that's a good thing.. Now if they can just put that on the Facebook app in the app catalog.
hey am I first for once?
Still no way to clear out all of your notifications at once (i.e. "mark as read" all your notifications), at least as far as I can tell. I keeping hoping they will imitate the behavior of Facebook itself and make it so that when you view all your notifications, it shows them as all having been viewed/read. I still have to "dismiss" them one by one.
The photo tagging and viewing features are great, though! Glad to see they're still making improvements.

I was annoyed by not being able to see photos in notifications, and glad that is fixed (I downloaded beta 1.2.5 from AppScoop and I can attest it works great).
But having to click each stupid notification is annoying to no end! Please Palm Facebook team, please make notifications easier, once you view, they all are marked as viewed. Clicking each one can be tedious.

What I do is go to the Facebook mobile site and clear out all my notifications. The app and the site are synced.
But apparently it only lets you tag on YOUR photos? Not photos posted by someone else? I got an error when tagging someone else's pics.
+1 to the whole notification thing. Hopefully this will update soon!
Thats my question, how is this different than the vs. 1.2.1 already on my Pre? It is not telling me I have an update, but seems to want to install a new app. What gives?

wow... faster than before.. doesnt lag like ver 1.2.1
and viewing fotos is now very comfortable...
my pixi plus is now 2 weeks old, OSes i've tried before: symbian, winmo 6.1/6.5 with touch flo, android, blackberry, iphone...
and now i can say.. webOS is the best for now.. wuwww.. i love it..
and facebook application is getting better and better...

It pays to actually read the whole thing. I frantically went to the App Catalog and there was nothing. Sad was I. Then I came back and read the article again and now it all makes sense.
1. Need to be able to swipe/delete notifications
2. When opening facebook and waiting for it to load I should be able to search and do other things without facebook taking over my screen when its done loading. Should stay in card view and wait for me to click back to it.
3. Don't like how when viewing pictures Its a black theme and there is no Title Bar. Feels like I left the facebook app kinda. Title bar should be on every page.
4. When viewing photos. Comments should be loaded on to the same page not going back and forth from 2 different themes/layouts. That's annnoying.
5. Would be nice if I could save photos and not have to go to full site to do so.
all in all. Its not almost a perfect App. 2 or 3 major features more and I won't have to go the full site

I just wished they fixed the bug, where if you leave the app to answer a call, or open a posted link, the app resets back to the top of the list. This is really annoying when you have lots of contacts that post often, you go to additional posts and then get reset back to the top Facebook cue.
I AGREE!!! I thought I was the only person concern with this bug!! I hate the auto refresh!!!!!! We need to push this bug fix more than any of them!!!

Good to know that they got a great beta out though.
This whole app is still a hit or miss, with more than a little miss than it is hit. I often can't view many of my friends' profiles and sometimes even my own! There is no way to respond to friend requests, or view the names of the people who like something you posted. There is no way to delete something you posted, in case you made a mistake. No way to clear your notifications! These are just minor things that I'm they could easily add and improve upon.

Over the weekend i kept getting webos crashes and auto reboots with the beta installed. I uninstalled the beta and its fine. Sprint Pre here, anyone else get this?
