Fix a missing lock screen 3
This tip is only for webOS slider phones
One bug that sometimes occurs with webOS slider phones is that you will go to press the power button on the phone and it will just turn on instead of giving you the standard lock screen with the "Drag up to unlock" padlock. From what we can tell this occurs because the phone thinks that the slider is already open, which would cause it to bypass that lock screen altogether. Fortunately, there is a really simple fix for this. Just slide the phone open and then closed again to "reset" the slider mechanism and your lock screen with return the next time you press the power button.

those bugs are unacceptable for a device on the market since 2 years..and even more.
It was like this with first pre (annoying, but perfectly understandable), but the same trend continues with pre plus, pre2, pixi and plus, veer and still, some problems, are still there on the pre3.
not exactly what consumers want.
Dude, are you really upset about this or just posting for fun? There are lots of things to gripe about in webOS land, but this hardly qualifies.
My Droid 2 regularly has select application icons disappear until the phone is restarted.
I have a friend who's iPhone 4 shows has a mail counter that in not in sync with what is actually in his Trash Bin.
Anything that is programmable or even just digitally configurable will have bugs. Anything.
A missing Lock Screen is annoying. If you carry the phone in your trouser pocket and happen to hit the switch you'll be on the desktop. It's there for a reason.
This device has a couple of more bugs which make me restart it every few days. Most of them seem to be related to crashing services (e.g. no SMS notifications, alarms are gone after reboot, etc.). It's just not very reliable as is.
