Palm Pre theme which revolves around the colors red and black. This theme skins the entire WebOS. First revolutionary theme available to the Pre Community that affects the entire WebOS.
You will never look at your Pre the same way again. This theme will set a new standard for the next generation of themes.
Disclaimer: I, Abyssul, accept no liability for any damage this theme causes. This theme is still in the beta phase and unfinished.

90% of this is SWEET!!! But the other 10% where there's not enough contrast difference between the text and background (i.e. reading mail, some dropdown menus) makes it somewhat unbearable. I need it to look good AND be functional. (My wife calls me picky too.)
Can't wait for the next version that corrects this!!!

I'm sure there will be themes released that take color blindness into account. That said, it's red and black. That's what the whole theme is all about. If it doesn't work for you, use another. I'm sure the creator has no intention of scrapping the whole theme because 10% of people can't use it. Maybe he or someone else will make one with the color blue or yellow...or maybe a fully grayscale one someday. Download that one.

i received about 3 errors while installing the theme
All about a "pillbox" saying file not found on my pre. But then again i always get errors when theming my pre.

Reinstall the default theme, it should fix everything, since it overwrites everything THIS theme changes back to the DEFAULT stuff.
This is an awesome theme, but like a previous poster said, some fonts need to be tweaked. The one that bugs me is spring navigation, since the text is default black you cant see a thing.

i reinstalled the default theme and it still didnt fix my contacts,texts,calender, or my emails...

My absolute favorite theme, my girlfriend was mad that I didnt have her as her background, so I made her dress in red and black so she matched my theme. Haha, patiently waiting for WebOS 1.2 version.
Anything I can do to help this get released for 1.2? I miss this theme. Photoshop/css skills ready.
How do you install? I can use preware and QI but I don't know what to put in QU. I downloaded but could not get the file to to to the install screen.

I love this Background it has my favorite colors and reminds of the matrix...
The Red highlights with the white background and black text is nearly impossible to read, so I uninstalled it, it doesn't work. I can't get the theme off my phone, and I used to love it. Please help.
Make sure you installed the theme correctly because the background is suppose to be black. View the screenshots for examples.
I had the previous versions, and there was a slight issue with contrast in a few apps, but for the most part, it worked fine. Now, within the messaging app. The background is black, the highlights are red and charcoal, but the text is black. It makes it very difficult to read. I have tried re-installing it multiple times, and it won't uninstall. I cannot change it back to default via WebOS Quick Install. It doesn't work. It goes through the process, said its reverted back to default, but everything is still red & black

I also can't get most of the default features back and now the mix of the two looks terrible. How can i fix this
WOW i guess I should have read all the comments before trying this? I really liked the skin until i went to text, I couldnt read anything because black on black doesnt really show up. Now I uninstall and re-install other ones to try and overwrite it and still have red lines everywhere, so please help me and all the others in this thread and come up with a way to revert this skin to the Default WEBOS theme asap. Thanks for your hard work.
What a great theme....it would be better if the text in the text fields was white or some other light color so you could see them better, or just change the backgrounds...
this theme isnt workin i tried 4 1hr str8 nothing so when i unplugged the pre a fwe parts of the theme was inprinted on my default theme and yes i hit revert back 2 default but no matter wut theme i put up its still there
re-install web0s to fix...at least it worked for me:)
Tom, dont you think that it would be far easier, and less painfull for us if the creator just fixed the uninstall or made a copy of the original theme replacing everything he "customized"
The uninstall process is not my field. That part corresponds to Quick Install and Preware. Hopefully the next format for installing themes (very soon) will fix this issue.

To say that this theme is horrible would be an understatement. When you reply to an email, the text is blue and the background is dark gray. Basically you can't see what you're typing. What a mess.
The theme is ok but I also had trouble uninstalling it using WebOS Quick install, the same program I used to install it. The background changed but many of the icons remained red. I finally gave up and installed a blue theme over it, which finally worked---for the most part. Some controls are still red I have successfully installed and uninstalled other themes using the same method.
ver. 0.3.7 - SMS is difficult to read with the color scheme
Giving it a 2 currently. Huge fan of most of the stuff but the contrast needs to be changed... the SMS is blocky it doesn't blend well around the edges and is difficult to read.
Upon uninstall it epic fails... thats the main reason for the 2. This theme did not uninstall... the majority of the red icons remain red as do a large portion of the controls. about all that uninstalled was the top menu, launcher bar, reboot screen, and maybe half the controls at best...
Maaaaaaan..... I didn't read the "Currently broken, do not download" somehow and downloaded it. Big F*%king nightmare for me. I am beginning not to like this phone :(
YO DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO FIX!! I MISSED THE "DO NOT INSTALL" MEMO BUT THIS SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD IN THE 1ST PLACE IF ITS CORRUPTING PEOPLES PHONES. I CANNOT EVEN CONNECT BACK TO MY PC TO REINSTALL WEB OS IDK WHY THE HELL ITS NOT PICKING UP MY USB AT ALL. SOMEONE HELP I NEED A FIX FAST

i also missed the do not install. i still have some buttons that are red after installing others and reverting to original a couple of times each. i actually LOVE this theme. the gripes about reading text in messaging are definitely valid, but for me having such a sick layout everywhere else makes this easy to overlook. or, just turn up the brightness a little and it's easy to read.
anyway, i love this theme; black and red are my two favorite colors. i hope it doesn't corrupt my OS or anything. i'm about to put it back on anyway, cos it is that sick looking.
p.s. if the graphic that replaces the PALM logo at startup were the main wallpaper, that would totally rock my socks off. were i wearing any socks...
Expect a working version soon as well as uninstalling properly. I'm sorry to hear that people could not uninstall, but that ball is not in my field. There were issues with Quick install uninstalling themes with patches.

I love this theme! I had it working well under 1.2 with no issues with a pic of my wife in her Coop devil girl costume from Halloween as the wallpaper. Fit really nicely and made me grin every time.
I've WebOS doctored and installed 1.3 now and will patiently wait for you to get it fixed before loading again.
I would like better contrast on the messaging but even so it rocks!

I'm sure the theme is great, but if it breaks the phone it doesn't deserve good ratings.

i still don't get any of this shit! i added preware. i downloaded web os quick install, i don't get it, the only thing i have been able to do is add my stupid virtual keyboard. i download the apps/themes and cant seem to get them onto my pre. wtf. this is pissing me off. you all make it seem so simple.

yea its a beautiful theme and i want to install it badly..BUT i frickin cant because it is a .ZIP file and the newer versions wont let you install .zip. AND there is no older versions i can find.. Please make an .IPK version of this! thanks.
