You can score up to 4 players. To edit a score, from the scorecard overview you can click on the hole summary or you can switch to the hole from the playing scene and click the pencil scoring icon again to update it.
When is the pay version going to be available on Palm's catalog?

This app is amazing!! I love how you can add your courses and info of the course that you want to add. Tried it for the first time today and it is just as accurate as my skycaddie. Great work!
Very nice app. I too found most of the courses I play available, however, this past weekend I could not seem to get the GPS to reset during play of any hole on the course I played. Once I would enter my score from the previous hole, the GPS would begin to reset and, as long as I did this on the next tee box, I got new yardages for the current hole. However, once the ball was in play, I could not get the app to understand that I was no longer on the tee. Would be nice if there was a "refesh" button or something like it to trigger the GPS to reset to your current location in (hopefully) the fairway
The added "gps accuracy" at the bottom should help you determine if the GPS is being wonky or whatever. I'll try and work in a hard refresh button somewhere - don't want to uglify the UI :)
Load the app and get your course on the "playing" screen before you get there. Once the app is loaded, I think GPS will continue to work even if you loose sprint service (untested but i think so). No downloading happens once the course is on the playing screen.
can you get other homebrew apps to install or is this the first one you're trying (good choice if so!)?
Truly one of the best apps available, homebrew or other. Newly added scorecard is very nice too.
Those yardages are just from the emulator which thinks it's in CA and the course I picked is from WI.

I would agree with you although my options are:
Media, Communication, Games, Productivity and Reference, System Utilities
I guess the Productivity and Reference might fit too. Definitely not any of the others.
Excellent app. After the phone has been off it takes a little time for the GPS to fine tune the accuracy (within 5 yds instead of 4000 yds after you turn phone on and GPS starts back up.). Maybe this will be improved in this updated version, but to get the hole you want (say hole 3), I would have to select one higher (hole 4). Little bug.
I'm looking for testers for the add a course feature, it's ready to go but I want to test before releasing a version with it included. PM me if interested in testing....
I'm excited about using the program. I went on BBGPSGOLF and added a local course, which was then posted on the sight. However, I can't find it when I look for it from my phone. Is there a lag or a problem?
Also, how do I perform the "to do" tasks?...
To-do list:
1. Set search radius preference for courses near you
2. Enable screen/gps to stay active while playing - helps gps accurac
Great app. Worked well for me and was fast and accurate.
Suggestions: if there is some way to reduce power usage, that would be great (it made it through 18 holes for me, but just barely). It would be neat to have the option to save your score card after a round is finished.

Great app. easy layout makes it very easy to use without any fiddling. GPS yardage rocks! Made it through one round last week, but my round today the battery died at the 15th hole!
I agree that this is an awesome app. Two questions:
1. When this version expires, will it no longer work?
2. Any idea what the cost will be once it in the "Official App Catalog"?
1. Yes this and all other GPF versions expire that date. I'll extend it with updates until its available in the official app catalog.
2. Price has not been determined but I welcome suggestions. Final version will have a few more features as well.
Am I the only one who has battery issues? I can't get more than 12 holes in before it dies. I guess I will try with GPS off when screen is off. Otherwise I love it.
REVISION: After reading other comments.. I guess some of you have same battery issue as me. For those of you who can get a full 18 in without draining your battery.. what do you do?
I can get through 18 even with the GPS on while screen is off. It will definitely get through with the new preference setting to keep the GPS off while screen is off. I go fully charged, wifi/bluetooth off, no other cards open and have made it several times through 18 holes. It's a battery hog though, not much I can do about that (except for the preference...)
OMG, this freaking worked like a champ!! The scoring and marking worked very well today. I left GPS on and let the screen turn off. WOrked great and only used about 50% of the battery for the round. Cannot wait until the next updates and future versions!! Hopefully he will not go crazy with the final price from the app catalog!
Good stuff. I'm the developer and don't worry, I'm not gonna go crazy with the price :) The next update coming soon has even more features built in....
yep, there is a scoring bug if you go back and edit a hole. it's been fixed for the next release.
i also went to the website and added the golf course but it still does not show up on phone? how long should i expect this to take and after it does show will i have to map it on the phone somehow and if so how do i do this?
it can take up to 24 hours to process, usually less. The course needs to be processed for 100% complete before the Pre will see it in search results.
Installed the new version(0.21.10), and all I am getting is a white screen after launching the application. Have tried restarting the Pre and same issue. I also uninstalled and reinstalled and still the same issue.
Gah! seeing the same thing. Must be a bug. Please fix. I've got a round to play at 6:10 AM tomorrow! Don't know how I'll survive without this app! :)

V0.21.11 solves the white screen issue, install that version.
I installed V0.21.11 and the app pulls up, but it is not responding. Any ideas?

try installing 0.23.5 to fix the white/grey screen after install problem
where does it hang? Do you see the header and the background but no buttons? can you send me a screenshot (PM me for my email)?
Mine is doing the same thing....opens up, shows the header and that's it...

I just installed this program and everytime I click on a previous round or scoreboar it freezes. I had just created a fake round to play with everything. Anyone know why or what I can do to fix that?
Support questions should really go in the discussion forum (I can't subscribe to get notified of posts here...) but the first thing I'd try is to delete the app and then reinstall. What course did you create a round for?

I don't know - works fine for me on both my Pre and the emulator for that course. Have you deleted, rebooted and reinstalled the app yet?

Great App but I can't get Scorecard to work. It just freezes. Everything else works fine. I've deleted the App and reloaded it twice. No change. Any solutions?
Really nice simple interface. Worked flawlessly and accurately.
I just mapped my course and used it the next day. I found the distances in a lot of cases to be way off which makes this app useless IMO. I would like to re due some of the waypoints to see if it helps. This would be a nice feature being able to edit a course that is already done. On another note, I can't read the other waypoints beside "to the middle of green" without my reading glasses (which I don't use on the golf course). A nice feature would be when you touch the waypoints they become enlarged so that you can read them without reading glasses.
does anyone know how to get the distance to correct to the actual yardage instead of the 3412 (possibly the 9 hole yardage) I'v rebooted to get the proper yardage but there must be som gesture or sweet spot on the screen to touch so I get proper yrdge. Any ideas? Thanks
