Google search pages all kind of weird on webOS 73

For about a day now we've seen a little problem on webOS: Google search is displaying something closer to their full desktop search results instead of a mobile-optimized version. Their desktop results have a lefthand sidebar, which means that searching Google is the opposite of a fun experience at the moment.
There's a thread up in our forums on the Google search formatting issue, @RayHollister notes it too (and proves it with the above image), and several other tipsters (thanks, Isaac!) also confirm that the whole thing isn't in our heads. To be honest, we assumed it was a result of an over-patched device until now.
How about you? Google search looking a little weird lately?

Odd. As of 4:15pm Eastern (June 25, 2010), my Google search screen seems to work fine -- both when triggered from a Universal search & in-browser. (AT&T Pre+ / WiFi connection in Canada)
Edit: m.facebook seems fine too.
Not mine. Still have the 'messed up' version of google...thinking about Bing...I give it a try...pretty picture by the way...and it looks...FINE! Maybe Bing will become my search engine of choice?
I'm also having a problem with my google voice site. Can't play voicemails.

I stopped using Google on the Pre since 9 times out of 10 it sends me to the German site, I'm in the UK.
Same problem here. I thought it was a new layout or something. But on another note...google is not the only mobile site acting up as of late...

It's affecting Android users as well.
I'm seeing google site just fine on the Evo. The Pre, not so much.
mines pointing to the mobile site but is showing spanish results, I'm in the US
btw on a side note ALL of my other mobile sites are just fiiiiine. FB=ok,, myspace=ok,, espn=ok... Google looks like a drunk man laid out the site.. Wtf?

Yes, mine is screwed with respect to the pooch as well. I'm using Bing and Yahoo at the moment via the Bing/Yahoo patch. Pea soup.

I am having the same issue- it started sometime earlier today.
yeah that's the page I get. But I do have 63 patches
yes mine has been off for a couple days but I normally use bing anyway so it doesn't bother me that much.
Also, for awhile google will randomly decide I want to read everything in Japanese. I might take up the language just to eliminate the inconvenience...
I have always had a problem with google searches changing to spanish, I'm in phx, az and with it now? I somewhat render it useless now since I am so used to using bookmarks more
it's being funky on my partners blackberry as well!!! So I don't think it's just webos, but it would make sense on our devices since google evidently hates webos!! Plus the google reader mobile sends you to mobile-made sites and that screws up consequent sites as well....

I get results in French all the time (I'm in the US). Kind of annoying.
I truly thought I was only one experiencing this problem. It sucks, I tried everything and it still does this. I guess I might just have to try out BING!!!! Where do I go to file a complaint on Google's site?

It's not only affecting WebOS users... Affecting Android users as well.
Mine too. It actually looks better when I select "View Google In" "Classic" at the bottom of the page.
I thought it was just me too since I sometimes get google in another lauguage.
I have patches too, but I have the same patches as I did a few days ago when it was working fine.
I knew Dieter wrote this article because I read the title and thought, "Huh. That sounds like Dieter." "All kinds of weird" == Dieter. Lol
Mine seems to be working fine. I have the iPhone spoofer patch thing installed, but I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

Yea I'm glad mine isn't the only one to have suddenly gone international. My Google search results randomly return with the page being served in foreign languages. I've been from Japanese to German to French to Spanish to Dutch back to English all in the same day. Weird.

Messed up here too, I also get Japanese characters sometimes. Glad its not just me, I was going nuts thinking I had some location setting messed up or something.
I dunno but sumtimes google returns my search results in spanish... Not cool... Could it be that google & webOS is that far advanced and smart that it knows that I'm latino??? lol

Looks like Google goes to a tab system that doesn't render correctly after the first search.
I have been having the problem with getting search results from Google in Spanish and French for the past two months. Has anybody been experiencing this for a while, besides pre central just now reporting on it? I have a Palm Pixi.
I am not a big fan of google search on webOS. I have been having problems for quite awhile with in searching in different languages and now this. Looks like I will be adding Bing and Yahoo via a patch. If only I could remove Google ;)

Probably stuck with it, Google has their own phone you know. It's kinda like the new iphone 4 issue with reception, "don't hold it like that" or "the fix is to purchase any of the available iphone covers." ~paraphrasing Steve Jobs....
Same issues here. For a few weeks now (it seems) have been getting wacky languages and now the offset results. If it makes anyone feel better, my friends iPhone is also returning foreign results. At least we're not alone (or left out from iPhone being functional). Makes me feel that it's on Googles end... (Duh)
Yeah, I noticed this yesterday as well. My Android tablet is also seeing the same thing on certain browsers, while others are just fine. Webkit mobile maybe? Any iphone users having problems?

It looks like Google updated their site and it's affected WebOS users.
And in the past two days users have been complaining about it, Google has completely ignored us.
checked out google today. Yep definitely not the mobile version.
So, is everyone changing their default to Bing until Google fixes this? Anyway to get Google to pay attention to the fact that we're all jumping ship?
If I use WIFI, Google shows up in English but the layout is wrong. If I use the Sprint network, then it goes to Chinese and once I select the English version, then the format is wrong.
I've also gotten random languages sometimes. Never Chinese, but sometimes Spanish or Italian, etc.
I noticed this the 23rd as well. It used to have the neat rows and columns of images on google images, and I do image searches all the time for ideas for my artwork, now I can't view half the results. I tried getting help through google and got nowhere. It's fine, bing works just fine.
Mine's been doing this for a week or so it seems. Drives me nuts. Time to start using Bing and Yahoo!
i actually prefer the desktop layout so YAY !! i hate mobilized bull crap and all you peeps going to bing and yahoo leave !!

Google's mobile page looked virtually identical to the desktop version, minus the right sidebar with the ads, before Google fubar'd the desktop version to look like Bing (easily correctable with greasemonkey). Now it looks like a poorly rendered version - read: mobilized - verion of the new desktop version

but because of this, I did put on the patch to add yahoo and bing to my universal search
