Graphite for webOS almost ready for big debut [Video] 15

If you're one of the many webOS users who have joined our community on Twitter, you'll know that there are currently only three choices for native Twitter applications on the TouchPad; Spaz HD (Free), Glimpse ($5) and Incredible! ($4.99). Only one of these three so far (Spaz HD) is built to be an exclusive and fully-featured Twitter client, while the other two serve purposes outside of just connecting you to the micro-blogging network. According to the video above, that all changes this September 30th, though, with the release of a new app by dots & lines.

On the last day of this month, just under two weeks from now, the developers of the high-quality Carbon for webOS Twitter app are submitting the much larger brother of the smartphone-sized client, Graphite for webOS, to HP for approval. This is an app that we have been anticipating almost as highly as we were incredible!, and it will likely get just as much, if not more use than many of the most popular apps in the catalog right now. From the looks of things in the video preview above, which shows a quick rundown of the interface and features of the app, it is likely to get a number of favorable reviews once it is released.

Follow @GraphitewebOS on Twitter to get the latest updates about the status of the app, including a notice when it is finally made available. If you've been waiting for a great Twitter app to arrive in the TouchPad's catalog, you won't have to wait much longer. Graphite for webOS is almost here.

11 more days have to wait for such an awesome app. Arggggh! Looks great, would say can't wait..but sadly I have to :o Money put to the side for this app.

You're lucky. Some of us don't even have a Touchpad to run it on.

And the developers continue. Seriously, thank you.

No idea why those comments are down rated... bitter much?

I'm also glad that this is coming given that Spaz HD looks like it has had development cease.

Development on Spaz HD has not stopped. @funkatron may be backing off of webOS development but much of Spaz HD was done by others, and the rest of team is still there.

I agree that it looks nice, but the community would be better off with more professionally done videos.

Agree, it a terrible video.
Like when he says, 'you can filter here', and points at the screen in the dark.
Come on guys your sfotware is great, but ...

PS I hope you don't have any lag when switching accouns, as it is still hopless in Carbon.

Spaz HD fully supports Identi.ca and Status.net. It is not just a "twitter" client.

Any idea if this will have Timeline Markers? How come no twitter client has been able to do this since Tweed? Such a great feature to have!

Carbon has timeline markers... it would be silly for graphite to not have them too.

I guess I should clarify. Timeline markers that I can set myself, like bookmarks, to show me the last place I left off when reading tweets. Not just a marker that shows me new tweets are above..

oh no! it started. People using multi-finger gestures on their apps. We can now kiss goodbye ever seeing system wide multi-finger gesture. Doing back/forward two finger gesture is definitely the way to go, but it needs to be a consistent and systemwide event. Another **** up for the webOS/HP team.

you just wanted to complain about something, didn't you ?

I guess

I have sooo been looking forward to this. Love Carbon.. easily the most used app on my pre2.

Here's to Graphite and the folks at Dots and Lines
