If you're reading this on the website right now, there's probably no need to really tell you what the big change is that we've just put through. You're looking right at it. But just in case you didn't notice, we've made a change to the entire PreCentral design that we have not touched in over two years - we've gone blue! In celebration of the HP TouchPad launch tomorrow (which we've just reviewed), and because we thought the green was starting to feel a little old, blue is now center-stage (in our background) and ready to announce some other changes that should be here in the coming weeks.
So, what do you think? We dig the blue background here, but always enjoy reading your opinions as well.

I like it. I'm the kind of person that re-arranges the living room in my apartment 2-3 times a year though.
a different way each time, or cycle through a few configurations over and over? The former would be more impressive than the latter. :-)
Looks nice. Even though I'm a pre- customer on Sprint, with the Touchpad launch, I think it's time for a new start. Dropping the green and going for the bold blue is a nice transition.

As for the change, although i almost believed i was in another site (until the banner loaded, not kidding) It looks really nice.
Me likes as well. Can't wait to see what the other changes will be.
On IE9 it looks busted. Parts of the header are missing. Compatibility mode fixes it though.
Overall pretty nice move, but I can't wait to see TP and Pre3 ads instead of Sony Fing Erickson and Playbook ads on my beloved Web OS news site. Good job guys!

I just read on webosroundup that if you preorederd a 16 GB touchpad, they are not ready for launch, so you get upgraded to 32 GB for free. If that is true that's a great deal, congrats to those people.
I like the blue, a little loud, but better than the green.
Wow, that is WAY better than the cheap $50 off the 32GB thing they were trying to do to make things right. Why not just do that in the first place, HP?
I like the green better, but I guess the blue will grow on me eventually.

I'm with you, I liked the green WAAAAY better. The blue just doesn't do it for me.
Man, I was just about to activate this Evo 3D and leave everything webOS, and then you pull me back in with my favorite shade of my favorite color!!! Guess I'm signed up for another 2 years...
There are a couple of remnants of that old green, such as some buttons/labels when you're logging into the site.
Yup. We'll be phasing all of that out in due time.

Why you'd want the site to look like XP is beyond me. There's WAAAAAAY too much blue in the computer world.
Go back to more "earthy" colors, they are much more soothing. The green was fine. A little bland, but fine. At least it wasn't XP Blue.

hey while you are at it can you do something about the mobile site. its been 2 months since i have not been able to post a comment from my pre- running 1.4.5 and it takes forever for articles to load. come on guys its driving me nuts!!!!!!!!
No kidding. I don't even bother looking through the site. The time it takes me to load up the site and read the headlines, I can read through all of macrumors mobile site.
It's horribly optimized or formatted for the Pre. It's the ONLY website I'm having issues with. I would think it'd be the best site to show off what the Pre can do.

I don't like the blue background. It's too strong of a contrast from the deep, solid blue to solid white.
I agree the contrast is a bit steep, perhaps this can be tweaked a little.
I prefer the green actually, however I don't know if that's just because I've become so used to the green over the past two years. If anything, I think a lighter shade of blue would lessen the "loudness". It's not a bad change though, just not used to it yet!

WOW! I never knew that a simple color change can have a positive effect on me. I got so used to the green that I never thought about you guys changing it, but in the end, anything can happen.

I like the blue. Really, I do. But, I feel like I came home and discovered that my wife has been replaced by a replica that is almost, but not quite, exactly like her!

Really loving the blue!! But I think that the orange headlines and accents need to change too. Orange doesn't really go with the HP blue like it did with the old Palm green. Since they changed the Orange pre button to grey/silver after the original Pre, I think your site should do the same to make the blue look super-awesome!! :)
I'm pretty sure it's just me but the blue color is messing with my eyes really bad. I might not be able to read the site anymore.
It's the contrast that is messing with your eyes.
Well, we Sprint users are still stuck with PreCentral-... Sprint won't release the color Blue on their network. "When are we going to get Blue?", we ask... "I'm sorry, but Sprint doesn't comment on unreleased hues". C'mon... my green is barely covering the PreCentral site anymore,it's so busted. I had to get some bootleg Emerald and Pine Green off Craigslist just to keep the site loading.
Hope you AT&T and VZW are enjoying your blue.
