How to: Force Landscape Mode in Facebook Beta 1.2.5 11
Landscape viewing in the Facebook for webOS app has been conspicuously missing since its major rewrite hit the App Catalog some months ago, but you can bet that feature is in the cards in upcoming versions. It turns out that not only does the recently released beta version 1.2.5 support tagging, it also actually "supports" landscape viewing.
We don't know whether to call this feature or bug, but here you go: to force landscape mode, simply navigate to any picture and orient the phone sideways. After you've done that, perform the back gesture while the phone is on its side and viola: Facebook in landscape.
The downside to this is that once you've forced landscape mode, you'll have to quit and relaunch the app to get portrait mode back.

Is this really considered a missing Feature??
this is nothing new lol I knew this trick long time ago and yes there is a bunch of apps that you can force it to landscape not just FB.
actually Rob good sir, no need to relaunch. the same trick in reverse puts FB app back in Portrai. :-D
Thanks for the info. ;-)
Definitely a bug -- none of the elements resize -- though it could hint at am upcoming feature. And I, too, can get it to flip back to proper portrait viewing without closing the app by just repeating the process.
Why would anyone want landscape mode? You'll be able to see what; 3 status messages at a time?
Another example of why I love Precentral. Thanks!
I figured thisout the first day I used it. And I was also able to get it back to normal by repeating the process inreverse.

I think if you are a developer for any mobile platform YOU must enable landscape (both ways) mode, so the user can use however he wants to use the app.
I still cant log into facebook. I get the dreaded "Service Error"
Has anyone found out how to fix this issue?
