HP lines up additional TouchPad developer workshop dates: July 21 and August 5 12

Sure, the HP TouchPad is coming out on July 1, but you might not have your webOS 3.0 Enyo-tastic app ready by then. Or maybe you’re holding out to see how the TouchPad fares in the market. Or maybe you just need some help that only HP can provide. Regardless of your excuse, there’s hope for you yet, dear developer: HP’s lined up two more TouchPad developer workshops at their Sunnyvale campus. The dates are July 21 and August 5, both well past the TouchPad’s launch, but still early enough that we doubt the App Catalog is going to yet be flooded with TouchPad apps.

The workshops, like before, will allow you to get hands-on development time with a TouchPad, as well as get expert guidance on Enyo and PDK development, as well as user experience and interface design. There will be members of the webOS Developer Relations team on site to assist you with your app development as well. Interested? Of course you are – sign-up’s at the source link below.

excited about TP, wonder when will 64gb version come out and if it would be any thinner.

Why and how could it be any thinner? I seriously doubt they're gonna make a whole new chassis right on top of the launch of the brand new product.

Thinner? LOL Thinner is in coming months. Prolly about 8-9. Maybe the 7 will be thinner, God I hope so.

there was some talk in forums about redesign of accessories, as the new TP may be thinner, dont know if all that is true.

hope Enyo SDK is lifted before this

Man, it had better be. I don't see how they can't lift it shortly after launch...

It just got lifted.

Out of curiosity, is the HP Logo GIMPed onto the building, or was the Palm Logo really replaced?

M.

really replaced

Cool!

Back in the day, IBM employees received 50% off on IBM PC's - this kind of thing really helps spread knowledge, and build a user base.

Any word about all those employee-built applications, spoken of last fall? When are those going to be released? Are they delayed due to the mojo/enyo switch?

I just wish they would bring more of these things out into the world, rather than keep them at Sunnyvale.

Making things easier for developers is better than making things easier for you, HP!
