HP Q3 2010 financial results 9
by Dieter Bohn Thu, 19 Aug 2010 6:14 pm EDT
HP posted a net revenue of $30.7 billion for the third quarter of 2010, which was up 11.4% over last year. Their GAAP profit clocked in at $2.3 billion, and claimed "Solid year-over-year revenue grown across all regions." We're listening in on the call now and except for a small mention of the ability to use webOS "in a variety of connected mobile devices."
Palm isn't is big part of this call. We'll let you know if that changes as the call progresses. In the meantime, just bask in the glow of the knowledge that Palm is now part of a company with plenty of cash to spare.

Releasing WebOS tablet is the key to ringing cash.
as long as they invest some of those billions into Palm in a positive way...
Not initially maybe, look at xbox, they had to lose money to make money. Lets hope HP sees the potential and not the numbers.
"HP is announcing preliminary results for the third fiscal quarter 2010, with revenue of approximately $30.7 billion up 11% compared with the prior-year period. "
That is from the 8/6/10 HP news release when Mark Hurd "resigned".

I hope you guys aren't seriously expecting a product announcement other than "family of interconnected devices later this year".
"WebOS Tablet slated for early 2011."
Now if they would mention more about phones....
Yeah, HP exec specifically said that slates/ tablets were a big reason for buying Palm, and to expect new devices in Q1 2011.
One mention of webOS during the opening statement, just saying that it's going to be pushed out to other devices.
these earning was base off of business due b4 palm acquisition. you must give them some time. palm will play a major roll in hp's future roadmap.
