HP TouchPad advertisements arrive in UK Metro Papers 23

While we're waiting for the full "hard launch" of the TouchPad to arrive on the 17th of this month, HP continues to give us some looks at the upcoming ad campaign for the tablet device. While many UK residents so far have been in the dark as to what the TouchPad even is with minimal advertisement shown about, we now know that HP is not simply forgetting the market potential in countries outside of the US. 
A full-page print ad in a UK Metro paper shows off the TouchPad in all of its glory, and it brings with it the now widely known slogan, "Like Nothing Else" as well as a number of short testimonials from well known reviewers in the UK. It's a fine ad that puts full attention on the flagship webOS device, though we hope to hear of many more ads brought in the very near future.

Considering that this is the very first day the TouchPad is available to our friends across the pond, we certainly hope there are a lot more ads coming.

wow that's bad. "From Today, nothing touches it" People will look at it and go "Huh... I don't want to touch it anyway. I'm doing fine with my $350 android tablet"

That was my first thought. No functional info, just endorsement statements, which is the strategy used to advertise uninteresting novels on radio spots. I kinda chuckled when I read the Guardian quote.

Glad some people like it. Looks like a waste of ink in my eyes. It's very flat info-wise for a dynamic high tech product.

Given that the nuances of English will come across differently (especially in the UK) I expect people to see this ad and get highly curious.
And even you can't deny the impact webOS will have on them when they try it!

19 July Now in-stock at my PC World but it was hard to find and the promo material hasn't all been delivered. The Manager said it was an extremely soft launch and left me to it - as he didn't know anything about it!
