HP TouchPad launch parties planned all across the country for HP employees 11

As we get closer to the launch of the HP TouchPad, HP themselves are holding celebrations all across the country ahead of the July 1 launch date. Numerous venues such as casinos, bowling alleys and even movie theatres will be taken over by HP employees to have some fun. Sadly, the parties are only open to HP retail employees, but we can take satisfcation in knowing it won't all be fun, games and prizes at these events. In fact, some portions of the launch parties scheduled are for employee training, although with that much going on we're guessing they won't be the most intense training sessions.

SOMEbody has to crash that party...who is it going to be?
:D
If I knew where one was in NYC, I'd be there crashing the party like Vince Vaughn & Luke Wilson in Wedding Crashers.
I don't work in retail but I work for HP. I contacted the guy listed as being the instructor for the launch event in Omaha, NE and he said I'm still welcome to attend. Hopefully I can win something, or better yet, some THINGS, LOL.
If you work at HP, can you please tell the product manager that this launch will fail at these prices. Drop the price of the tablets by $100 and include a touchstone to maximize user experience. This will get the webos name known, then the revision 2 tablets can be priced the same as Apple.
If even just half of those 300.000 HP employees buys that tablet they already outselled the RIM Playbook ^^
Well... thats one way to make sure someone shows up to your party... Invite your family.
I guess this move is meant to win the HP-employees and to make them ambassadors for the new HP Touchpad and webOS in general.
You have to imagine, that some HP-guys until now even might not have heard of webOS ;)
So it's not only that HP has to win the public attention for webOS but also that of their own people and with their help build a wider awareness.
Force 'em to buy on each! When I use to represent Ford Motor Company, i once showed up to the building driving a Jeep Cherokee: they took notice... You wanna work for us? Buy from us!
I guess that what was going on tonight at the Movies - Came out of Cars 2 to find about 10 HP employees with Touchpads - They let me and my kids play with them
My thoughts: The OS / Apps were a bit slow, but it felt great in the hand.
WebOS still has great potential with tablets, seemed a bit more polished than Honeycomb... only time will tell if they can compete though
Agh, what a god awful photo to put on the TP screen!! Is that Russell Brand? Pass the brain bleach!
