Just Type - Recent Searches [webOS 2.1]
This tip is only for devices running webOS 2.1 and higher
As noted in our introduction to Just Type, one of the most visible aspects of the change from Universal Search to Just Type is the inclusion of a dedicated "Just Type" bar at the top of Card View. While this was initially just a visual reminder to aid in the discovery of Just Type, webOS 2.1 brought with it another useful feature: recent searches. While in card view, tapping on the Just Type bar will give you a list of recent Just type searches that you have performed. If you want to repeat the search, just tap on the one you want. You can then decide what action or search you want to perform, or reload a specific application or contact. This is a useful feature if you need to redial a recent number, re-perform a search if you accidently tapped on the wrong Just Type feature, or just want to perform a second action based on the same search.
If you want to clear the list of recent searches, you can either tap on the "CLEAR" button on the top-right of the screen or just reboot your phone. Unfortunately, these searches do not survive a reboot.
