Keep screen off while on the touchstone 2

Although webOS 2.0 introduced the ability to completely turn off the screen while on the touchstone, you quickly realize that this was a short lived victory because the screen would turn back on as soon as a notification appears. However, if you disable notifications from appearing when the phone is locked in the Screen & Lock app, the screen will remain off, even when you receive most notifications.

We say "most" because there are still some cases where the screen will turn back on. The most obvious of these is calendar event reminders. These will override the Screen & Lock setting and will activate your screen. It's not clear what other notifications cause this, but our experience shows that the screen has come on at times without a calendar entry. And, of course, if your device reboots during this time, the screen will remain on as well. So, this is not a permanent fix, but it works most of the time.

Do you know of other notifications that will override the Screen & Lock setting?

Word of warning, turning off notifications when locked combined with powering off the screen while in exhibition mode on the touch screen appears to block alarms from coming through. I had an alarm set for this morning and had done this tip the night before, and my alarm never went off. The instant I took my phone off the touchstone in the morning my alarm got triggered.

Brightness Unlinked in Preware works well also. Not sure how notifications affected.
