Keep tabs on March Madness with Sports Live!

It's that time of year. The squeak of sneakers and screams of crowds fill the air and the hopes of 67 squads from across the United States are crushed with a ferocity that only basketball can bring. That's right, March Madness is underway. While there are plenty of sports apps in the webOS App Catalog, only one really stands out as worth your money for keeping tabs on all the games upon which the success of your bracket. That one app is Sports Live!

Well, it's Sports Live and it's derivatives. On the TouchPad, we wouldn't talk anybody out of buying Sports Live HD, and for this happy go lucky season of basketball insanity, you wouldn't be wrong to buy College Basketball Live for your webOS smartphone either. Both apps let you passively keep tabs on your favorite/necessary teams through the joy of webOS notifications. Should you be feeling more antsy, you can also open the app itself and check out the scores in real time for all games.

Both apps are made by More Solutions and available now in the App Catalog - Sports Live! HD for the TouchPad is currently on sale for $2.49, while College Basketball Live! and Women's College Basketball Live! are available for $1.99 and Sports Live! for webOS smartphones is $7.99

Also, go Bearcats!

I think you misspelled the last word. It's supposed to be "Heels!" :)

67 teams are crushed, Derek. There are four play-in games now.

Noted.

It seemed to work well for the first week. But tonight, with 16 NCAA games on, my screen shows "There are no games being played today", and a host of Womens games being played when none are scheduled. There is obviously a date shift somewhere. The date on my TP is correct. It is a very good looking app on the TP and easy to configure, even if they do not know what day it is.

GO KENTUCKY!!!

I'm getting the same "no games" thing. Fortunately, the CBS Sports app DOES have all the scores.

I heard dat! I mean Kentucky...

Here it is on Monday. No NCAA Games shown and no response from the developers - yet they continue to try to sell it when the app is obviously broken. I did post a question on their forum page, but no response there either. There is no 'contact us' link on the webpage. Fewer and fewer games to follow, soon it won't be worth the effort.

The good news is that I only had to pay the sale price for no updated information. Perhaps that is why it was on sale? It is unfortunate that WebOS Nation pushed it so hard and gave it glowing reviews.

It is Thursday again. The app is showing the womens games scheduled for this evening, but the mens side still says "There are no games being played today". WRONG!!! There are 4 tonight! Really disappointing - still.

Right on, Go Bearcats!!

BEWARE - I just bought the app. Excitedly I went to open it up, brought in College Basketball and it says that it has nothing to report because their were no games yesterday. Are you crazy? It's March Madness. There were like a dozen games yesterday. I hope they can fix this or refund my money.

I really could care less about a way to track sports... what I want are REAL sports games... golf, baseball, football please.. anytthing.. i can't believe we have no sports games... it;s killing me... really all i want is a good golf game

Somewhere around the Final 4 weekend, the developers posted a note on their website that said that the tournament games were not available due to circumstances beyond their control. They were able to post the Womens NCAA scores, but not the mens. I think we were all taken for a ride on this one. While reading the comments at other locations - it seems the same issue happened last year also. Another app that touts itself for more than it really is - but it looks good doing it!! Still, very disappointing. I could begin to forgive them if the app was free, but having to pay for crap is not acceptable.
