Media Indexer Refresh
3
Description
A little attempt to force a run of the media indexer for given files.
Background
When you copy media files to your webOS device (say mp3 songs) you might encounter a missing file from time to time. Especially if you use SFTP to copy your files you will almost every time end with some songs which wasn't catched by the indexer and therefore doesn't appear in the music player. This app helps you to fix it directly on the device.
How does it work?
The app presents you with a list of directories and files from /media/internal (USB partition). When you tap a directory you will enter it. When you tap a file the app will read the first byte of the file and directly write it back. This will keep the file intact but force a rerun of the indexer on the given file. For your convenience there is a "Touch All" button which will touch every file in this directory (not recursive).
Warranty?
There isn't any. Use it on your own risk.

Cant get this to load on my pre2 but loads fine on the touchpad is it touchpad only?
I also get an error when trying to load thru Preware on my TouchPad with 3.0.5 webos.
The error is "Failed -1: Unable to run command: /usr/bin/curl -s -l --user-agent Preware --location --show-error http://cdn.precentral curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
I assume the 404 error is the classic "file not found" meaning...
UPDATE: I was able to get the IPK install file downloaded directly from the link on this page and it installed just fine. (Hint: Look above under "Download Options")
loads, works on pre3 2.2.4 ...doesn't seem to solve problem of hang of native music app...??
