As to other news, Michael Miller of ZDNet said some pretty critical (but fair) things about the TouchPad today. As to the responsiveness problem, I agree with one of the commenters: the device is likely doing background synchronization. I've especially noticed this problem when I'm using a slower (read: mobile WiFi hotspot) network connection; it's a dead giveaway. (HP definitely needs to optimize this somehow. It's unrealistic to hold off syncing until 2am everyday, but they could *at least* put a small notice in the notification bar stating that it's taking place!)
I'm glad to see he's going to stick with it to see where the platform is headed, though.
I would like to see HP put in the "side-swipe-to-move-to-the-prev/next-app" gesture from the Playbook (turnabout is fair-play), the aforementioned syncing notification, add hardware-acceleration to the UI, add user-configurable tab management (another Miller gripe), add TRUE CURSOR MOVEMENT controls (my #1 gripe), and add some kind of on-desktop widget support. If they did these things, it would go a long way to making the TouchPad a huge success (notwithstanding the app problem)...

I agree. Just Type will become the norm among all the platforms. As to Ashley's looks, why are surprised anyone would comment on her looks? 1) She's putting herself on display, 2) most of us are drooling, hairy geeks, and 3) she's purty... :)
(I'm not saying she's not good at her job, but there's a reason people like her are picked for the job, as opposed to plain janes like Casey Anthony (slur intended). It may not be fair, but it's human nature...)

And I think you should learn that a man can admire a woman's beauty and her intelligence at the same time. By not acknowledging that, you're disrespecting men...

Then I guess you should stop oggling sunsets around other people. 'Cause ya know, you sound like a moron when you say, "Oh, my, what a beautiful sunset!!"

It's official, ladies! You can stop taking hours to get yourself all dolled up! It's now a crime for a man to notice how beautiful you are, so you mustn't encourage said behavior! Finally! You're free!! And men are free to completely ignore women!! Wheeee!!!!!

I love how Samsung, HTC, and Motorola still haven't learned that anyone who cares about TouchWiz, Sense, and Blur *does not want them*. Poor Samsung spent all this dev time and work, but when they say, "Hey guys! Great news! Touchwiz for Android 3.0!" and their user bases are either indifferent or actually disappointed.

News is HP is getting ready to launch TP 4G for $699.99 sometime soon on Amazon !
The lighting is mucho better now. Ashley, in the immortal words of Dan Hartman, "I can dream about you..." :)
Lighting looked perfect to me this time. Best video so far. Great work and keep it up.

Yeah, WP7 users are excited to see even more features COPIED from webOS. What they call "Content Search", we call Application Search in Just Type.
Also, why do you guys always only talk about her appearance? Sheesh...

I just think you should respect her a little more than to talk about her like she was some doll or something...

You're not being intelligent by openly oggling at her like some caveman...
It was fun the first few podcasts, always have to mess with the new guy (or girl), but getting old now.
