N.O.V.A. 2 HD and Shrek Kart HD join the 99¢ salestravaganza 29

Salestravaganza might be a bit strong of wording, but it doesn't change the fact that two more high-quality Gameloft games have hit the holiday sales button: N.O.V.A. 2 HD and Shrek Kart HD are now both available for just $0.99, joining the discounts for Assassin's Creed HD, Asphalt 6 HD, and Smart Office from yesterday. N.O.V.A. 2 is the follow-up to the Halo knock-off sci-fi shooter that is available for webOS smartphones, while Shrek Kart HD is a more graphically rich big-screen version of its small-screen silly racing counterpart. As with the apps put on sale yesterday, we don't know how long this will last, but chances are it won't be forever. Gift your TouchPad with the holiday joy of 3D gaming, will ya?

Gives me hope that there are at least some mainstream developers still with active titles on the TP.
This is awesome! I have been looking at getting most of these apps.
How about a sale on games for the original Pre. My kids would love to play Shrek racing on our two original Pre's but there is no way we're going to pay $4.99 each. But $.99 each is something to consider.

I have a Pre 2 and N.O.V.A. is on sale for $.99 in the App Catalog. Search for "Gameloft" in the app catalog (without the quotes).
what version of webOS? Not coming up in my catalog, will check the Pre2 when I get home.
I wonder if some people have forgotten that webOS works on phones :-/.
part of me wants to complain about paying full price for NOVA 2 when it came out a couple of days ago, only to have the price drop so soon, but I'll live. Besides, over the past 2 years I bought almost every gameloft and glu mobile game during a 99 cent sale (including Assassin's Creed HD and Asphalt 6 two days ago), so finally paying full price for one isn't so bad.
I'll just be happy I can get Shrek Kart HD now too.
wow...this is where not being able to snatch a 32GB TP from the recent sales starts to hurt - I might not have enough space on my 16GB to get these...

Why can't I find Shrek Cart HD in the catalog?
I tried searching and also for Gameloft and shrek doesn't come up. The catalog is updated today!
so search for Shrek
I did try Shrek... no results. All Apps Paid and every other way I can think of. Asphalt doesn't come up either. I did purchase Assassin and N.O.V.A. they came up okay. My catalog just updated today.
Started Assassins Creed and option to view other games brought up Shrek and Asphalt so I downloaded from there when it brought up the catalog to order. Got them all!!!
Shrek, application's not available in your country. Country is New Zealand. Facelift, please add to the NZ catalog!!!

I have no idea if I'll like them and I'm not a gamer (save Madden '94, MarioKart, and puzzle games), but I'll give them a shot.
I'll vote with my wallet that developers should port their apps to webOS.

There should be a very important disclaimer here. One of the reasons why the prices for Asphalt and Shrek Kart in particular have been slashed is because they DO NOT WORK on webOS 3.0.4. The accelerometer is completely messed up, so save your money and do not purchase. I found out the hard way on Asphalt. If you don't believe me, check out the forums here or elsewhere with everyone complaining...
1) The accelerometer will surely be fixed in the next update. HP won't just leave it like this.
2) Asphalt 6 has two non-accelerometer steering modes; yes, I'd prefer the accelerometer, but this will do for now. I don't know about Shrek cart, having only just downloaded it.
i saw on the forums here that in the testing version of 3.0.5, the accelerometer was NOT fixed. here's hoping, though.
Sooooo,THAT'S why I keep crashing into walls on asphalt! The accelerometer seems to work fine on Need for Speed though....most of of the time anyway...
Wow, that's a relief. I bought Supersonic HD cuz I loved it so much on my phone, but was extremely disappointed by the control responsiveness. 3.0.5 can't come soon enough.
Wow...NOVA 2 HD looks very impressive and at 99 cents is hard to beat.
May even motivate me to clear some music to make room (heard it take up 1gb of storage to play) for its addition.

I nearly fainted when I saw the download size of 1.4GB O_o After all the apps I got from the 10¢ sale for Android and these webOS sales, I'm not gonna have room for Windows 8.

I'm VERY happy that they brought NOVA 2 to the Touchpad but find it VERY strange that it runs and looks worse than it does in Android on the Touchpad....same hardware.....bad port? I'm hoping they fix this with an update. There are lots of graphical glitches, worse framerate, and lower quality textures. Now I bought it in seconds anyway because I want to encourage this from Gameloft...but I hope this isn't the pattern for the future....
