New in the App Catalog for 01 February 2011 8

by Derek Kessler Wed, 02 Feb 2011 11:17 am EST

Yesterday’s app drop may have been another one light on new apps, but just like the previous day’s there are still some goodies in there.

  • Turn the Dial Radio Directory is an offline directory of terrestrial radio stations in 84 cities in the United States and another 25 in Canada.
  • DigiJournal: Track a busy life allows you to track how much time you spend on a task throughout the day, as well as provide notes for that task.
  • Ireland, London, and Paris Travel Guides, from from mcnamara.fr, provide a GPS-enabled tourist guide to the nearest attractions.

You want more? We’re not sure you can handle more, but we just can’t resist that goofy grin of yours. It’s after the break... just don’t make us regret it.

New apps:

  • DigiJournal: Track a busy life, $0.99, by DigiKat Software. Track your time spent on a task in addition to your notes through the day.
  • Ireland Travel Guide, Free, by mcnamara.fr. The tourist’s guide to Ireland, including GPS attraction location.
  • London Travel Guide, Free, by mcnamara.fr. Find your way around London with this GPS-enable attraction locator.
  • Magic, $0.99, by Hexodious. A multi-player life counter for Magic: The Gathering.
  • Match the leds, $1.99, by Virtue Studio. “Do your best and try to match the leds.” That’s the complete description, so don’t ask us how this is actually played. [Match the leds - Free]
  • MtG Tools-Lite, Free, by Fuzz Industries. A collection of tools for your Magic: The Gathering games, including life counters, turn counters, a dice roller, and links to the Magic card database and rulebook.
  • Paris Travel Guide, Free, by mcnamara.fr. A GPS guide around the great city of Paris for the tourist.
  • SMS Verschicken, $1.00, by Open Merchant Account. Send free SMS text messages to German mobile phones.
  • Track Me, Free, by Spyder Speak. Track and log your speed, heading, and coordinates.
  • Turn the Dial Radio Directory, Free, by Cringeworthy Design. An offline directory of terrestrial radio stations in 109 cities across Canada and the US.

I for one dont' care what's new in App catalog until some new hardware is release on Sprint until that happens it not worth my time. I'll give Sprint/HP Palm until March to release new hardware or I am jumping off webos (even though I love it) to the next biggest thing out there in March.

Cool story bro.

If the new hardware is smaller the present Pre I would jump ship. Who the hell whats something smaller then what we presently have!!!!

I like how Derek used "terrestrial" radio stations in the description for Turn the Dial. I had considered it but was unsure if it was a common enough description for "regular" radio. I may change to that in the description.

Awesome developer name! I like it.

Anyone know if those travel guides require a data connection or if they can just run off a GPS signal?

no data connection required...
although when there is there's an add on the item detail page... but hey, they're free right.

another day of useless, boring apps.
