Another day, another considerable app drop. Frankly, we’re okay with lots of new apps, even if a lot of them are public-domain ebooks. Regardless, there are some highlights in there:
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour takes you to the digital greens to play as or alongside the embattled golfer (or with other famous PGA players) on courses around the world.
- Holidays Trip logs your photos with captions and geo-tagging to keep your vacation photos organized.
- Defensive Warfare finally brings the tower-defense game to webOS, and we’re not disappointed.
As usual, there’s plenty more after the break.

Lotta updates. New update, soon?
Defensive Warfare has been out for quite a while.
And Virus Defense has been out for even longer, yet continues to remain absent from the pages of PreCentral. Defensive Warfare is a fine tower defense game and in some ways superior to Virus Defense, but IMO Virus Defense is overall more fun. It is a shame that PreCentral has never acknowledged its existence beyond the page auto-generated for it in the App Gallery while stating in at least three articles that Defensive Warfare is the first (or "first proper") tower defense game.
Thank you Nullity!
We are very proud of Virus Defense and are constantly working on improving it. This will include a nice graphics bump soon so keep posted. We are also stumped at PreCentral's lack of any acknowledgment of Virus Defense specially since we were the first out there as a request from Dieter to make one.
And why the mention every week of Defensive Warfare as a new app even highlighting it when it has been out for a while. Oh well, we did get some love for Plumber's Nightmare so it's not all bad. People can have their favorites :-)
LDS Gospel Library is a new app, an official release from the LDS Church. It has off-line reading, along with other scripture study guides and recent talks by Church leaders. Not to mention it's free! Very different from the public domain version that costs $4.99. Many members of our faith have been eagerly awaiting this.
not to mention the app rocks, even if you don't read the Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants or PofGP, the bible will still blow all other apps out of the water with the resources it gives you. the app is fast and very responsive. I love and have been waiting for it
@kid2009 - thats just what I was thinking. We usually see a lot of app drops/updates the week or so before a webos update!
oh, that's right, the was a message out to dev's a couple of weeks ago to test their apps against webos 1.4.5. I think that's also the one that's supposed to bring 3D pdk games to Pixi.
