App Catalog If you’re ready for the newness, we’ve got a bit of bad news: yesterday was pretty light on the newness front. So light, that we’re going to just put it up here at the front and not bother with the break. Bam, there it is...

  • Be A Man 1.0, $1.99, by Modern Love. Re-release of the original 'Be A Man' how-to-pick-up-women app.
  • MCSA/MCSE 70-270 Windows XP Exam Prep, $3.99, by Upward Mobility. Get prepped for the MCSA / MSCE 70-270 Windows XP Exam Prep app with 106 sample questions.

hopefully the "light apps" recently means something bigger is coming .. Dream weaver

It better!! Cus from those lite app I have the paid one's and I'm wondering why would you update the lite app and not the paid one? When the developer clearly knows that there's some bugs in the paid one? smh.. Only thing that I can imagine is that almost everything is on a halt b/c of waiting for the webOS update.. I quite honestly dont even think that thier going to bother releasing 1.4.5 in the US.. They'll most like are going to release and update higher than that.. Hopefully 2.0.. I'm just really really tired of waiting but luckly I've been down this road before so I know that if I wait I'll see the light at the end of the tunnel lol

Generally I've been of the 'blame the providers for slowing down the update' mindset, but at this point I'm beginning to wonder if Palm didn't pull the update (or if it was rejected) and is going to reissue with bug fixes. Either way, this is taking a lot longer than expected.

More weak apps

well 'modern love' goes on my list to hide... Do long lists slow webOS down?

you all seem to be holding out for 1.4.5 as if it's some sort of grail. really, how many 3d games do you want to play? Palm needs to seriously sort the app catalog because just playing pretty RPG's just ain't gonna cut the mustard. IMHO of course.

I could care less about 1.4.5.. Only reason everyone still talks about the update no being released it b/c of the fact that 2.0 is stated to come in the fall (next month) and what everyone is really holding out for it the new hardware.. As far as Im concern 1.4.5 is the update that never was lol

new hardware definately, but what we going to put on it? A thousand 50 year old novels from brighthouse? Ha moan moan moan - crap day at work is all! Roll on new powerhouse hardware and those all-singing-and-dancing apps HP are writing!

"New in the App Catalog for 03 August 2010..." N O T H I N G!!!
