New in the App Catalog for 04 May 2010 12

App Catalog While Monday may have brought a veritable hailstorm of apps, Tuesday was more of a spring shower, which while a touch disappointing still seems rather appropriate. That’s not to say that the apps themselves are disappointing, because they certainly aren’t. You might not be wowed by what’s listed past the break, but there’s still usefulness to be had. We can’t have awesome PDK games every day, can we? No, we can’t, because then they wouldn’t be awesome anymore. Everything in moderation, friends.

New apps:

  • GPS Trip Panel, $0.99, by Casey Broome - L337Tech.com: Track your speed, heading, and altitude.
  • Life Sampler (Keys), Free, by tEarn Media: Demo version of the Life Sciences (Keys) search game.
  • Life Sciences (Keys), $8.99, by tEarn Media: Race against automated search bots to find the answer based on the life science clues.
  • Mobsters: Big Apple, Free, by Playdom: Hook into your Facebook or MySpace Mobsters game account and continue your games on the go.
  • Plane Spotter, $0.99, by BeerGremlin: Search the FAA database to view information about specific aircraft from a plane’s tail number.
  • Seismograph Pro, $3.99, by fabi.me: Graph the vibrations recorded by your phone’s accelerometer.
  • Toodler2, $3.99, by Wozware: Sync with your Toodledo account to add, edit, and delete tasks, plus filter and sort and view subtasks.
  • Twoxy, $1.02, by Elcoino: Steer your spacecraft through a hailstorm of fireballs.

Block Breaker and Block Breaker Lite have been updated to increase the responsiveness now that WebOS v1.4.1 has been released.

Also check out the music we added to the game. I think you'll like it.

The You Tube video is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LdRzr3G5RaA

Enjoy!!

As long as the apps come in at a steady flow...things are good =] Honestly I never understood the whole deal with apps but when I got my Pre last July, I slowly but surely found myself engulfed in them. The games are fun and excellent time killers, but the apps the help make my days more efficient...now those are the apps that take the cake!

Go Palm.
Go webOS.
Go HP.

"...the world's first Palm webOS powered 4G HP smartphone!"

I wish we get these apps: chase, BoA, Dropbox, Swype keyboard, NPR and Kindle.

uhhh, there is an NPR app. Kindle would be nice, but reading on a small screen like ours is not easy compared to a kindle. There is no app to make pre 3x larger and use reflective ink. And swype keyboard is ok, but I love my real keyboard!

The NPR app is really cool. Although at my last look, there still wasn't MPBN. Sadface.

If you mean the Public Radio app just e-mail the developer. He added mine within a day!

@kkhanmd

Well there is a public radio app and Wells Fargo has a banking app now so it will be soon. :)

OK...I give. How can you have THREE ifart apps?

There's a much larger variety of farts than can be encompassed by just one fart application. I thought this was common knowledge.

In the post-iPhone (can I say that here?) world the fart app is the new Hello World.

Twee added a pretty big feature in my opinion, since it now has TwitVid upload support.

pre-release PDK applications = thats all for now.

maybe we should have released one per day *g* i know other developers are working on PDK applications; but only a limited few were selected for this "pre-release".. it isn't over for sure, there will be many more coming!

we look forward to the update to the PDK so we can complete the products; most of our applications have some native UI bindings for high score submission et al - we've had to remove that functionality due to the hybrid application framework still being worked on.
