New in the App Catalog

It’s time for another dose of App Catalog newness, and since we skipped covering on Saturday what happened on Friday, you’re getting a whole weekend’s worth of apps tacked onto Monday’s. Sweet, eh? Today we’re going to get into the holiday mood with some Christmasy apps:

  • Christmas Countdown is a simple but fun count down to the big day.
  • Christmas Log offers a soothing (but not warming) simulated burning log in a fireplace. Just what you need to snuggle up to on those cold winter nights.
  • Funny Advent Calendar is the classic advent calendar with a twist: each day brings a new joke or funny clip.
  • Santa's Helper is designed to track not just how much money you’ve spent for the holiday, no, it also lets you log whom you’ve spent that money on, what you bought, and where you bought it.
  • Xmas Wallpapers is exactly what it says it is: a collection of Christmas-themed wallpapers.

any chance to buy one of these apps here in italy with our pre 2? we've got only free demo apps! is there an hack that enables the full apps market?

London Tube Service Free app is a wonderful thing, but its not a map of the underground as described here.

I think it takes an hour or two sometimes when a new update is posted before the file is actually 'downloadable'...at least I seem to recall this happening a couple of times. I'm guessing we will all be downloading by this evening for sure!

Love how the "Must Have" section includes an iPad...other must haves: HTC EVO, Nexus S, Samsung Galaxy Tab.... Must Do's in 2011 if no news from HP/Palm on some sort of WebOS device that can compete: Leave Sprint and WebOS
