Wow, tons of updates. I love weathericon. That app just keeps getting better.
I like weathernow more than weather icon as it leaves a spot on quick launch free while leaving a little icon in notification area, plus gives me weather on touchstone too. Only thing is icons dont change with weather. Plus its FREE!!
Weathericon is free too.
With WeathernNow, do you have to click the icon in the notification area to see the weather, or does it display the temperature -and- conditions (cloudy, sunny, etc) right on the icon? (I like being able to see the temp and conditions at a glance)
Notification icons also take a up some screen real estate (albeit not a lot, but still)
I travel a lot, so what I would really love is to see temp/weather conditions for TWO cities at the same time, at a glance. If the weather icon could periodically alternate back and forth between the two cities that would be super sweet.

WeatherNow is GPS based and wont alternate btw cities. The ICON in Notification area is very small and does not display temperature. But when the phone is off and one hits the power button, you dont have to unlock the screen to see the temp as it is there on the screenlock with your wallpaper and other notifications, sweet for me. Plus when on touchstone weather is displayed all the time. Yes!!
Can be better by: Icon could be current temperature, ability for severe weather notifications, and long term forcast.
I posted this on the WiFi Media Sync App comments page here on Precentral, but posting it here again in case someone who already has this app can confirm its behavior:
My phone's storage is almost completely full due mostly to pictures and videos. I would like to sync those folders on my Pre over WiFi to a folder on my PC. Periodically I will go through the folder on my PC and MOVE (not copy) old photo/video files to my Linux-based ReadyNAS server (which gets backed up automatically).
So once I move the files out of the synced folder on my PC, will it automatically get removed (deleted) from my Pre on the next WiFi sync with my PC? That would actually be the desired behavior.
Can anyone out their in Preland who owns this app confirm?
I will try it this afternoon and post back later. I'm at work at moment but will have look as soon as the boss disappears!
OK, here's what i tried:
> add file to Media Sync folder on PC
> sync with pre
> file is on pre
> remove file from Media Sync folder on PC
> sync with pre
> file is still on pre
I'll keep playing with it tho in case I've missed something and let you know.
If there were a thank you button here I'd have clicked it!
Could you try this use case instead?...
1. Add a file to Media Sync folder on the Pre by taking a photo
(I am assuming you can designate any folder on the Pre as a media sync photo, e.g., /media/internal/DCIM. This way after snapping a photo it would automatically get stored into /media/internal/DCIM on the Pre)
2. Sync with Pre
3. Remove the photo file from Media Sync folder on PC
4. Sync with the Pre
5. Is the photo file still on the Pre?
Tried to upload an image from pre to PC but get message
'upload has been disabled on this PC. Enable uploading using the WiFi Media Sync PC Client on your PC and reconnect to upload files'.
I cannot seem to find any such setting on the client - this might be a reason why the file didn't get removed on the second sync earlier, maybe. I have left a message with infamousdutch (whose app i think it is) on treocentral about this so will reply when i find out.
Thanks for the info -- I am going to try and find a support thread in one of the precentral forums for this app by searching for the app title and author "infamousdutch" and post my question directly there.
Finally a free world cup app. Yes!!! I wish I could watch highlights on verizon pre plus.
I was waiting for 2-way sync in wifi media sync, so I am happy to get it now, and 60% off is just a bonus!
