New in the App Catalog for 10 August 2010 14

App Catalog AppBookShop is at it again, but that doesn’t mean they’re the only ones with new apps happening. Good news is this: all those PDK apps we’ve been seeing released can now be downloaded by the majority of webOS users (Sorry, Verizon and AT&T). That’s right, webOS 1.4.5 (not 1.4.5.1) is here and ready to rock off your socks off. So get to it!

All these app books are actually 3-D app books, go get them! (I hope you know I am kidding)

i would like to suggest a "PDK roundup" post, because just going through the app catalog and trying to figure out what's new in terms of PDK apps is tricky.

i don't know if there are enough apps yet to justify this, though. however i would really appreciate it to have an idea of what i can do this morning that i couldn't do last night, haha.

+1

Maybe these posts should sort and group by Developer instead of App Name.

Or institute a rule that 3 or more apps by the same dev on a day are broken out separately so I can properly ignore them.

"Spotting Mental Illness in Your Spouse":

Step 1 - Look at your spouse
Step 2 - Congratulations! You have spotted mental illness in your spouse

I just saved everyone $3.99 ;)

Best test? Get your spouse's Palm Pre or Pixi and check and see how many AppBookShop.com "apps" they've bought. One or more? Crazy.

What to Do if Your Spouse is Cheating LOL I need a book to tell me what I'm gonna do to them LOL!

OK - I think I'm going crazy - and "No" the Spotting Mental Illness" app didn't help - lol.

I get on my Pre, go to the App Catalog, search for "Piano" (as mentioned above...not there.

This also happened when I looked for "Relax" which was listed in "What's New in the App Catalog" about the 1st week of August.

I've tried Search, looked only in free apps, tried alphabetical search (OMG is THAT FREAKIN TEDIOUS) and I cannot find these apps.

Seriously - am I crazy?!?

I think it's a PDK app, which means it won't show up until you have webOS 1.4.5 or above. If you're on Sprint, download the update! :-)

Piano requires webOS 1.4.5. If you haven't upgraded yet then it won't show up in the App Catalog. If you have alreaady upgraded then I don't know what's wrong.

I'm too slow!

Thanks for the gut check - yes, I am on Verizon so these apps are not for me yet. Sad but still....better than Mental Illness!

"The Most Hilarious Pranks"

Personally I don't find clogging up the App store with all these worthless "book" apps to be all that "hilarious"...

They really need their own section.
