I'd like to say Blackjack Ace is hopefully a beginning to a bright future of online FPS multiplayer gaming for WebOS?

I second that!

I second that!

+1

Online FPS (First Person Shooter) from a blackjack game? Were you trying for something else there?

born of brimstone an fire,There must bee resulotion!!

Self aware games are a joke! A total internet scam nothing buut a ripoff.I have screenshots of winning hands losing on multiple occasions. The developers sit at tables themselves to ensure you lose ur $.
To to it off every single time someone makes a bad reviews.here comes dev's with 2 or 3 5 star reviews of their own to keep up their ratings.
Spent over 100$ since oct only to have my chat banned for befriending someone who exposed the site.
I've never chatted with ANYONE.ALL I EVER DID WAS LEAVE A BAD REVIEW.
now I have been banned for associating with a banned player.i have a screenshot of that as well. They called it circumventing a ban.
The site is fraudulent and a internet scam without a doubt.
Have heard ludicrous comments referring to a player's skills.
well I know that player .she is in top 30 players @ fulltilt.com and top 10 at wsop.
She was targeted by devs for her honest opinion and her bad review.
I have the emails and her screenshots .i am sure she will be adding them here soon.
MY ADVICE IS DON't PLAY SELF AWARE GAMES. BE SURE TO READ ALLLL REVIEWS AT BOTTH CARD ACE AND BLACKJACK.
BUT HURRY THE DEVELOPERS REMOVE THE ONES THEY DON't LIKE.
PALM NEEDS TO WAKE UP AND REMOVE THIS DEVELOPER FROM THEIR SITE.DEV's are scamming people.

This is nice and all, but NOVA would have been nice to have seen on that list or maybe flash beta or something to that effect. IMHO crap like instacall for a buck and all those sport and recipe so called apps need to go.

Have you even seen the "What for dinner?" app? It's an amazing program that is very resourceful. Just because your wishlist app hasnt made it in the catalog doesnt mean the other apps are crap.

I cannot stand the whiny wishlist posts every single time derek posts an app update.....

Ah sweet.... Funny Fart is available!!!!

My Pre experience is complete

/s

@ fastamx79:Fart is Sweet???not from pre forum? iphone forum maybe? Got the pre to escape from iphone and looks like you can't beat them, join them.lol'

Ah, well, the fart apps keep on coming... webOS's success is obviously ensured.

Oh, sorry, looks like the sarcasm tags didn't get saved in this text.

Ok, too soon to know for sure, but Dijit seems to have calmed down the spamming crap apps he's been adding. Maybe the $50 fee per app is making him slow down?

And Brighthouse with just one app.... are things looking better, or could these two spam developers just be off somewhere on holidays together??

I choose to be in glass-half-full mode.

Good to see a new version of Feeds Free, should keep me going until the EU Apps Catalog opens for business

I thought Feeds Free was cool also.Ads don't bother me.Makes me feel like it's real life.

Decent? Really? Only a Palm apologist could honestly claim this is a decent list of apps. I think 75% of the apps in this list and in the (cr)app catalog simply duplicate functions that can already be done on the web. Why do I need an app with autism facts or Chuck Norris when I can simply bookmark the same thing on the web? Apps like this are just a waste of time. As are pay-for backgrounds, yellow pages, and everything else that simply downloads web content. And another Fart App! How wonderful.

The App catalog is a bad joke. Compare the apps available for the Pre with those available for Android, and you'll see the difference between a hand held computer and the Pre. The ease of creating apps for the Pre has turned everyone into a developer, all right. Unfortunately, the result is an app list that looks like an art museum populated with paintings made by "everyone." Let's face it, most of us aren't artists; neither are most of us real application developers.

At least the recipe app may appeal to your Mom, when she buys the Pre Plus.

meyerweb... simple question... WHY ARE YOU HERE?

The App catalog is barely open to the world, and the PDK isn't even totally out there yet. It takes time to build a great catalog. I am impressed with how fast this is moving. New apps everyday (practically), and updates all the time. WebOS may be the step-child of the smartphone world, but people out there do believe in its abilities and are working very hard to try and make it a true competitor.

Don't like it? Buy an Android phone and move on.

www.androidcentral.com - enjoy!

If you haven't noticed, Brighthouse Labs and Dijit have more apps on iPhone than the Pre. If you'd check, they probably have just as many apps on Droid as well.

waaa...waaa... What a crybaby. Man up and switch platforms. You cry like my mom when her favorite idol gets eliminated.

@meyerweb: just build up as many as apps as possible to compete with iphone I guess.Do you want quality or quantity.
The iphone user always base their argument on quantity. So??

listactular....I like that.

Well,Dijit,& Brighthouse, has realised that, palm released the $50dollars fee,per Application. The word-of-mouth,that they're SPAMMERS,so the money aren't coming in now, because the mass majority isn't buying their crappy-apps,& there's no point releasing all those SPAMMERS,if they're getting charged $50 dollars per apps from Palm.To both develpers, get with the program like everyone else,& start to make some real Apps. For now,"MIDDLE-FINGER," if your don't like it,GET-THE-HELL-OUT-OF-MY-APP-CATOLOG!

Just a heads-up bro - your "comma" key is stuck...

Do you have a spacebar?

WE CROSSED the 200 application threshold in the Spanish catalog!!!!!

Most of the developers that I contacted asking why their free app isn't in the Spanish catalog told me that they didn't have the Spanish translation.

But I thing there are around 5 application in Spanish and around 20 with a Spanish description.

Why not make more obvious in the submit form that you don't to have your application localized for be accessible on an specific country.

Add a new Worldwide category to the submission form?

Cheers
JD

Wow,this link said that all ANDROID devices aren't getting FLASH 10.1,until second quarter of 2010.Now webOS users, feel special, because we gonna be the only OS,with ADOBE FLASH 10.1,for now.PALMPRE,PIXI,PALMPRE PLUS user, rejoice. Here's the link:http://www.androidcentral.com/adobe-says-android-not-ready-flash-will-be-soon-though

Spaces are your friend, you know. :\

I just used the Dead Pixel fixer, and hopefully it worked. Nope, it didn't work. But I can try, try again, and it's free. I like the fact that we are getting so many apps this quickly. We certainly are growing at an amazing pace. I wish there were more free apps, though.

I agree with meyerweb. It's nice that the app catalog is growing. But, its growing with useless apps. Let's get some GOOD apps. I don't want to repeat it, but let's get some apps that you find under blackberry or Droid. Some of those apps are very useful. Droid has an app the you "bump" information to another Droid. Or another app that you can search for music and download it to your phone for FREE. How about an app that you can identify a certain song playing so you can download it later to your phone computer.
Enough with the stupid recipe apps, trivia apps and the translator apps.

"search and download music for free" like music wave? Yea I have that on my pre.

why don't you guys come up with a better app idea, then show us how its done? I'm sure that your superior taste in apps, and your knowledge of the plaform will both amaze and please us... We like getting pleased...

I don't know why so many people are assuming the other platforms have such useful apps. All the platforms are full of crappy apps. The iPhone probably has more utter crap apps than Android and webOS have TOTAL apps combined. You honestly think the iPhone has 100,000 GOOD apps? No way.

C'mon let's be reasonable here. On all platforms apps are going to be made up of
40% total utter crap
25% crap, but free
20% good but very limited use apps
15% good/great apps

(numbers made up of course)

Aside from games (the Pre is catching up here, thanks to Gameloft), there's not many apps available for Android/iPhone that I really feel I need. Shazam, Facebook (let's not call the current Facebook app an app, it's horrible).

I do agree that most of the new apps and updates are very clich
