New in the App Catalog for 12 February 2010 12
While half of the world’s eyeballs were glue to television sets last night to watch the opening ceremony of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, the folks down the coast in Sunnyvale didn’t take a break and pushed out more apps into the Palm App Catalog. As usual, the day’s app drop consisted of several new apps as well as even more updates. The new apps have brought the app count to 1445, just barely teetering on the edge of 1500. Of course, if you factor in the apps available from PreCentral, WebOS Internals, and the Palm Beta and Web Distribution feeds, we’re actually teetering on the edge of 2000. Fun eh? Well, we’ve got the usual list after the break, but it only covers the App Catalog apps, as this is “New in the App Catalog.” It makes sense to us...

Whoever said quality is better than quantity didnt know what we he was talking about. :)
Where do those translated descriptions in the app catalogue come from? Quite obviously they are translated automatically. Gibberish, not German. To understand, I have to try and translate it back to English word by word.
I used Google Translate for Spanish version of my app, Zombie Wallpaper.....hope it makes sense....
I don't know if you list things like this, but the Electronic Wallet application jVault for WebOS just got a "desktop companion" version. They're by cohosoft.com. Although they don't truly "sync" yet, the encrypted database in either version can overwrite the other, and they plan to add full sync down the road. The combination looks like the closest thing yet to how I use and sync Turbo-Passwords (Chapura) on my 700p and PC. I've been desperately looking for that functionality for the Pre.
Has anyone heard any words on whether or not or when paid apps/all apps will be available to Canadian Pre users?
I think I might call either Bell or Palm about this. So F'ing annoying. i just wanna get the apps that are available, is that too much to ask?
