It’s a new week, and there are new apps. It’s like some sort of crazy random happenstance. Sadly, there aren’t buckets of new as we may have hoped and grown accustomed to. But you know what, that’s all right. The last thing we need to do is have brothers and sisters on Verizon and AT&T suddenly overwhelmed by all the PDK apps available to them. So it’s okay, for now, but if it continues, well, there’s not really anything we can do. So anyway, apps are in that place you’ve come to know and love: past the break.
New apps:
- All Hail the Hypnotoad, Free, by Shortway Studios. All glory to the Hypnotoad!
- Away with Words, $1.99, by MichaelRanch Software. Engage in tactical spelling with this combination of Boggle and Tetris.
- Balloon Go Boom!, $0.99, by goatslacker. Pop balloons for higher scores. Simple in concept, but as always it’s not as easy as it might seem.
- Chained, Free, by Alphapolygon. A match three game in 3D space.
- Mia the Cow, Free, by Karge Software. Shake your phone or tap the screen to ring the cowbell.
- True Tempo, Free, by Shortway Studios. Millisecond-accurate PDK-based metronome, merely drag up or down on the screen to change tempos.
Updated apps:
- 1. Bundesliga Live, $1.99
- 3D Coin Flipping for Pixi, Free
- 3D Coin Flipping, Free
- 3D Dice for Pixi, Free
- 3D Dice, Free
- AlcoTest Drunk Calculator, $1.99
- Animated MMS Free!, Free
- AudioScape: Drums, Piano, & Soundboards, Free
- Back That Thang Up, Free
- Bahnfahren, Free
- Baseball Live! - 25% OFF SALE, $1.49

Yay me, I'm downloading 1.4.5 as we speak. Now I can download some of these cool new apps.
Derek,
Isn't copy/paste wonderful? So, here goes again...
I do like this feature of Precentral and scroll through it every time it comes out, just to see if there is anything interesting.
But it could be better and more useful. I renew my request: PLEASE will you organize the list by vendor? Here is an example of how I would like to see it look:
New from Shortway Studios:
- All Hail the Hypnotoad. Free. All glory to the Hypnotoad!
- True Tempo. Free. Millisecond-accurate PDK-based metronome, merely drag up or down on the screen to change tempos.
vendor x has also updated:
- Some application, $0.99
...and so on.
This would make this great Precentral feature even better, and so much easier for the reader.
Thanks!
Most users don't look for apps by vendor. They look for new apps on function, and updated apps on "I own that." I would bet that 99% of users have no clue who even made most of their apps.
