New in the App Catalog for 14 April 2010 18
Well, we do gots us some apps. Plenty of apps, it would seem. Between updates and new apps, something on the order of eighty or ninety apps were dropped by our benevolent overlords of Sunnyvale. And while the majority of our app drop from yesterday was made up of updated apps (that’s nothing new - no pun intended), there were still plenty of new apps to be had. Including the HTC Sense-like aniWeather, or the first political campaign app in the form of Texas governor Rick Perry. Once you start getting official campaign apps, that’s a sign of having hit the big times, right? I'm a big fan of the "Robert E. Lee Quotes".
That's what she said!
My favorite is still: "Na na nah nah nah Na na na NAH NAH NAH nah."
That was really a General Lee quote though, come to think of it.
Most of the Gameloft games listed as updated, weren't actually updated version-wise. Probably a meta-data change.
Yep. Same with Word Whirl. I just enabled the English for Countries that previously only had native language. Just Meta-Data. Hopefully, Palm will eventually allow that without an "updated" date on the app.
Although for those countries, it might not get seen unless it was updated if all the users are doing is looking at recent each day. It actually is updated for them.
Derek, our Basketball Live! app is new today and offers real-time scores update for your favorite basketball teams. It is very similar to our Baseball Live! app which was released earlier this week.
For a limited time only, GeoStrings is on sale for 50% off in the U.S. and all international regions (which is what today's update is all about). So grab it while you can at this bargain price!
Thanks, I just took the plunge thanks to the discount! Now I have to figure out how to use it!
A good place to start is my GeoStrings Guide video series (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=29E56F2761F20729). Also make sure to check out the app's interactive help system (available by tapping the "?" icon at the top-right corner of every screen).
I live in Texas, and shall avoid the Rick Perry for Governor app like it's a Brighthouse Labs app.
+1
When is GameLoft going to release Derek Jeter's Baseball for the Pre? You would've thought that with the start of the baseball season, they would jump on it and make a killing.
I downloaded aniWeather, and it's wonderful. Keeping track of the weather at work, home, and the beach near school is pretty handy. And it has a really polished look. Good app.
Great apps........as we come to expect for new Palm phones. I was expecting to spend a bit of money on apps but haven't purchased one yet and haven't downloaded many free ones either.
When will we get those shiny productive apps other platforms get?
I think you answered your own question.
Ha!
Interesting post. I normally comment AFTER reading the posts I visit. If I am ona interesting blog, but, do not like the post, or do not find it worthy to comment on, I refrain from doing so. Thanks for sharing.
