We have see a lot of ne apps the last couple days - I wonder how many of these are webOS 2.0 compliant?
Just checking in on the webos community.... I'm a ex pre Sprint customer. I was forced to go to Android cause my pre finally became a paper weight. I gotta tell ya, I got the evo, and its nice. No too many card errors, nice big screen, fast as hell. I waited as long as I could, but palm lost me. For all the other Sprint pre owners, you should try it out. They offer you 30 days to try it out. After being with webos for a year and a half, and being as loyal as I could, after one week, I was hooked on my evo. No more palm for me. Sorry.
Then, please feel free to go shill someplace else.
Buh-bye.
I tried it. The Evo hardware is nice but I prefer the webos operating system over android OS. The free apps were nice but the advertising in the apps were really annoying to me.
I like having my apps on multiple launcher pages (webos) rather than one long page (android) I'd have to scroll through. I also like how with webos i can just start typing to find contacts, apps, search the web etc.
Webos has really spoiled me. Unfortunately I am where you were, my pre minus is dying on me and the hardware options at the moment sucks.
I do miss the Evo's large screen and I do miss Android's wigits. If come February Hpalm doesn't release a minimum of 3.5" screen device with high res and auto focus camera. Then I am going back to the Evo myself.
The Evo (hardware) is a great phone. Android (OS)is a piece of crap. Let's be honest, the phone is sweet, but the operating system is terrible compared to WebOS. Takes you too long to do stuff, and there is absolutely no multitasking in it, no matter what they say. Multitasking on a WebOS unit is totally different then multitasking on any other OS, it's just ridiculous. I keep trying to swipe up to get rid of stuff and it's just painful. Notifications are horrible, you either have to delete them all or leave them be. I can't explain to you the frustration i have with this phone. I should of just got another Pre when mine died after 18 months. Atleast my wife upgraded to a Pixi so I can get some WebOS love occasionally.
NOTES AND MORE NOTES. Would someone please share with the developers that doing notes on the phone is truly wonderful..but if you cant access those todo notes on your computer or via the cloud..they just dont help much...so I use Nutshell for my work stuff(I have a book mark on the web place) then I use sticky notes for those little home things during the day or if I am at a meeting and need to remember to make a call I will use those..it works really well...so I can go to Nutshell and do the really long stuff and the work stuff...multiple to do things... and then for the quick things..I use the sticky notes...
What you want is available on WebOS. Try Evernote or Simplenote and the app Noted! for notes. Toodledo and the app Done! work well for tasks.
firs!-oh who cares...
great stuff!
