App Catalog It’s the morning, and by now you ought know what that means. It means apps! And apps we do have, with sixty odd fresh new and updated apps hitting the App Catalog since we last looked at it, you guessed it, yesterday morning. That’s how we roll, morning style. So what’s in this batch? Nothing particularly mind-blowing, but there’s still plenty of useful and fun stuff to be had. There are apps made for a reason, and for the vast majority of developers, it’s not a “because I can” app, it’s a “I think there’s a market for this app” app. That market, as it would turn out, might be you. obligatory brighthouse labs sucks comment =)

They probably just want to say they have the most "5 Star" apps in the catalog. Palm needs to adjust the "hottest apps" filter algorithm so that an app needs more than a single review of 5 stars to be considered a hot app. You know it is just someone at brighthouse downloading each app and rating it 5 stars knowing that no one else will buy it, so they cant rate it down. That is why they have so many "5 star" apps.

hey brighthouse labs! You need to put out:

charles manson quotes
bhagavad-vita
tao te ching

and actual cool stuff, then I might give you some of my dollars

Where are the Kindle app and Audible player? I keep writing to Amazon, Audible and Palm, but no progress on either front. Very frustrating!

Would be great to have Audible, have you gotten ANY hopeful feedback from Palm or Amazon/Audible??

I have e-mailed amazon few times, they said NO and said they will forward my message to the developers team for suggestions.

+1 for Audible

I wonder how fast our app store has grown this quarter vs before. Is it possible to do an analysis for app catalog growth since its inception?
Few months back, we were the fastest rate of growth on the market (percentage wise, not total count) I wonder if we still are?

We can now officially say we have "thousands" of apps in our catalog!

And if we measure in 'dog' apps, we have over 14,000!

It is cool to reach 2k though...just funnin...

Well,as far as Pdk apps are concern,we wouldn't be seeing them until summer,or second-quarter of 2010. Why? because Palm is coming with a new hardware around that time,so it makes sense to drop the new establised apps like the Pdk,around that time for lunch.Along with Flash 10.1,confirmed by Adobe,& a new breed of webOS,which means(webOS 2.0)nice. For now, just enjoy these Sdk apps,& some games,to keep your interest, until Palm releases the big-guns,in the near future.

There is mistake in Touch Alarm description. On your post developer name is written:

Łukasz Dzierak(ddluk)

but it should be:

?ukasz Dzier?ak(ddluk)

Please change that.

Derek, you are supposed to be on vacation for Pete's sake. Relax, alresdy! :-D

Oops. I meant "already".

Personally I think the quality and usefulness of apps is really starting to improve.

When will developers get that tool to port iphone games in a matter of days? I have a few friends with iphones and some games look sweet.
